사실 호텔룸 자체는 아주작고 다소 별로였지만, 잘 꾸며져있는 정원만으로 숙박할 가치가 있음

Old and small

No reason to stay unless you have a confirence/meeting at the hotel. Room was very small. No lift with many stairs. The staff was not helpful.

Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. Lovely full cooked options and lots of fresh fruit with greek yoghurt and pastries etc .. The room and ensuite bathroom was simple but very pleasant and the bed comfortable. There was a slightly musty smell in the room, possibly just the age of the property or the bathroom plumbing, but probably not helped by very hot weather. But it didn't bother us too much and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Lovely unique place staff exceptionally helpful breakfast great , I would stay hear again anytime and recommend it without a doubt.

The accommodation was basic, but had what we needed. The rooms were very hot and uncomfortable in the heatwave, so sleep was tricky.

Ein Herrenhaus aus dem 16. Jahrhundert kurz vor Cambridge — allein schon das Frühstück im großen Speisesaal, umgeben von alten Gemälden, hat etwas von Harry Potter. Die weitläufigen Gartenanlagen laden zum Spaziergang ein. Die Zimmer sind schlicht gehalten, aber sauber und gepflegt — passt perfekt zum Charakter dieses außergewöhnlichen Hauses. Wer etwas Besonderes sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

not a good sleep the first night due to a machine in the courtyard for freezing purposes. apparently the normal freezer had broken. however after we complained we were moved to another room which was a lot better in fact an upgrade on our previous room hopefully the university of cambridge will rectify this in the not to distant future. the staff were excellent

Lovely setting and gardens

Die Dusche tropfte wegen eines Filteraufsatzes leider nur. Ohne Filter, also nur mit dem Duschschlauch, war es okay.

The building itself is beautiful. The bed was very comfy. Tea and coffee packs and a kettle available. Plenty of hot water. Quiet surroundings. We walked around the gardens and then walked to the local pub which is in easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices served buffet style. Park and ride into Cambridge is available just up the road and property is very close to the American Cemetery.

An absolutely beautiful old property that has suffered from not being maintained, and is being run on a bare minimum of effort. Sadly this could be a spectacular experience but the staff seem worn out and not especially bothered. There’s a smell of damp in our tiny room, which feels more like student accommodation than a hotel room. Comfortable, and we slept well, but whatever you do don’t ask for water at nighttime! The shower and bathroom are basic and in need of an upgrade. The bar menu is not fit for anything except the most perfunctory dining, and the surroundings are lack soul and feel like an old people’s home. The breakfast offered a good choice but prepared on a once-and-done basis. The room had a canteen feel with a layout that lacked finesse, trestle tables à la school hall. Shame really, with a bit of imagination this could be a truly spectacular place to stay. The grounds are the best part of it.

Food is limited and dry in cafe/restaurant. There is no dinner here. Breakfast is fresh nice and repetitive.

Beautiful location but remote. There's nothing nearby for quick access to snacks, drinks, etc. The building is huge and you could easily get lost so pay attention to signage. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was tidy. Our room was right up against the courtyard (ground level) and we had to keep our curtains closed because there was some sort of event going on and people could see right into our room. No AC or fan but on cooler days it wouldn't be so bad. We were there on warmish days but thankfully the windows opened and that helped cool the room a bit.
