from South Korea who stayed here for our honeymoon from November 13th to 16th. The overall satisfaction with the food, environment, location, facilities, and scenery were fantastic. However, I would like to tell you about an unpleasant experience. I am very dissatisfied with the service attitude of the staff. We clearly requested the honeymoon service by email before our arrival, but it was not provided. We requested it again to the Chinese staff member at the reception desk, and they said they would process it soon and just made us wait. We waited for 2 hours without even unpacking our luggage, and eventually we visited the reception twice more, but it was not processed. After waiting for another 30 minutes, we made a request to the head manager and our request was processed right away. The Chinese staff member just made us wait and did nothing, neglecting us and wasting our precious time. I hope that he will be punished accordingly.

Best food ever!

Newly renovated so nice rooms. Unfortunately the service was very bad and weird setup. Was not allowed to put drinks on my room and asked to go to reception to pay for my drinks. The bar staff were embarrassed about the whole situation and apologized (they were good). To top the bad experience i started getting calls to my room i had to settle my bill from earlier at lunch. I had not even checked in by then since i arrived by 5pm. This did not occur to them at first and it took some time and explanations. This was my second time visit this year and i must say i will not be heading back. The service is simply awful and among the worst i have encountered in Mauritius which i visit many times a year. Will choose another hotel next time.

When booking your room don’t book a room with just breakfast. We did & when we went to upgrade to half board we got no discount for already having breakfast included in our room.

From being welcomed at the hotel to the final check out the staff were so friendly and went that little bit extra to make sure our stay was an amazing one. The choice of food and drinks were great and we were able to book the speciality restaurants with ease. Pools were great along with the choice of water sports that were included. We would like to say a big thank you to Angele who did a great job in looking after us in the Nirvana part of the hotel and Sheila who kept our room spotlessly clean. Also Klea who made sure we always had a drink in Latitude and Owen who worked at the bar there and also in Jade with his drink recommendations. Bayo also made sure we had food and drinks around the main pool. So a big thank you to these and all others that made our stay as special as it was. Hoping to return in the future.

Great restaurants, rooms are large, bed is excellent, beach is not amazing but hotel location is very convenient to travel to other beaches.

Très belle expérience dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est au top, serviable, accueillant, à l'écoute et toujours disponible. Les restaurants sont très bons, le cadre idyllique Merci pour ce séjour. Nous reviendrons à coup sûr.

Fantastic location on a beautiful peaceful beach with fabulous sunsets. All the staff without exception are so friendly and welcoming with nothing ever too much trouble. Great selection of restaurants and activities available

When you go to the Meridien Mauritius you know that they will will do their utmost to satisfy you. The quality of the F&B and the kindness of the staff make you forget the rocky beaches (water shoes) but also offers the most beautiful sunsets of the Island. Well done for the entertainment (program, kids club, nautic sports...) and musical evening that also permits much more than a 5* hotel.

Einer der schönsten Urlaube, die wir je hatten. Unser persönlicher Butler Keseven tat sein Bestes, um unsere Wünsche bestmöglich zu erfüllen. Unsere Zimmerdame Sheila war so voller Herzlichkeit und im Säubern und Gestalten des Zimmers mit kleinen Überraschungen nicht zu überbieten.Nivis und das gesamte Team des WAVES waren einfach nur Super! Perfect vacation. From the beginning to the end of our stay we had a wonderful time. Everyone treated us nicely and we were asked a lot times if there is anything that can be done to improve our time at Le Meridien. We want to say a special thanks to Luxmi, Bayo, Aman, Muniz, Juninho, Rodrigo and everyone from the kids club for your all your effort that you showed our family. The hotel offers a great mix for families with children or adults only. The location makes it also easy to go on tours in the north or the Port Louis area. We are definitely planing to come back soon.

Toller Urlaub. Tolle Ferien, tolles Team und sehr gutes Essen. Traumhafter Urlaub, in einem Hotel der uns vieles zu bieten hatte. Wir sind sehr dankbar und haben 11 traumhafte Tage verbracht.

Had a very nice room. Water didn’t drain in sink and toilet was smelly, but that was fixed after a call to reception and by keeping door to toilet closed. HOWEVER. It took the hotel 3 days and 4 people to organise a tennis lesson for me. 2 days and several people to show me a different room category. Called for a golf cart to take me to the boat house for a snorkeling trip that didn’t show up, so I had to make a run for the boat house to catch the boat. Asked for an umbrella that never arrived, so walked the pretty far walk to reception in the rain. Doing things you say seems rather optional. My room was situated next to a pool that played charts music loudly every now and then. All in all I decided to change location despite the nice facilities. At a resort like this, you pay for the whole experience. It does not help if you have a dress code at dinner (which I love), but play techno by the poolside. The nicest spa does not make up for waiting around forever for your tea at breakfast or dirty tables in an empty restaurant while the staff hangs out at reception chatting. This place has a lot of potential, that unfortunately is not used.
