Local street market, close to underground, diverse restaurants around, 24-7 bar, kind staffs

안녕하세요? 여행을 좋아하는 한국 부부입니다. 비행기 경유만 하려고했던 영국이었는데 갑작스러운 항공기 결항으로 숙박을 하게되어 다급하게 런던 시내에 숙소를 잡게 되었고 살인적인 숙박 가격에 깜짝 놀랐으나 이왕이면 조금이라도 편하게 여행하고자 깔끔해보이는 해당 호텔로 다소 비싼가격(50만원-조식포함)으로 예약을 진행했습니다. (당일 예약시 대부분의 런던시내 호텔들은 비쌌습니다.) 처음 입구부터 다양한 국적을 다니며 경험해봤던 4,5성급 호텔과는 전혀 다른 느낌의 외관에 충격을 받았고 내부로 들어가서 다시 한 번 충격을 받았습니다. bar&호텔을 함께 운영하는 곳이다보니 4성급 호텔임에도 불구하고 제대로된 리셉션은 갖춰져있지 않았고 주문받는 카운터에서 호텔 체크인도 진행하다보니 바를 이용하는 손님들로 분주한 직원분들께서 제대로 된 체크인 절차 및 안내가 미흡했습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 피곤했던 나머지 얼른 숙소로 올라갔고 숙소 확인결과 수건 등이 제대로 갖춰져있지 않아서 다시 요청을 하였고 직원분들이 바빴던 나머지 제대로 챙겨주지 않아서 저녁식사 후 들어오는 길에 직접 챙기려고 카운터에 전달을 하고 나갔으나 이마저도 제대로 전달이 안되서 본인들이 없는 방에 수건만 놓고 나간것을 식사 후 알게되었습니다. 그래도 피곤한 나머지 최대한 일찍 잠을 청했고 다음날 아침 8시30분부터 드릴소리와 망치질 소리에 편안한 잠과 휴식을 취하기가 어려웠습니다. 저는 호스트에서 투숙객으로써 최소한의 제안을 드리고 싶습니다. 최소한으로 투숙객을 위하는 마음이 있는 호텔이라면 투숙객 이 조금이라도 편하게 쉬다갈 수 있는 환경을 만들어주셨으면 합니다. 1. 호텔과 bar를 함께 운영하려면 카운터를 맡는 직원들을 좀더 늘려야 될거 같습니다. (저녁시간때 기준 2명이 bar와 호텔을 같이 운영하는건 무리가 있어 보입니다.) 2. 투숙객들이 머무르는 시간만큼은 최소한의 배려로 공사나 소음이 발생할만한 일들은 자제하시기 바랍니다. 3. 4,5성급 호텔이라는 이름에 맞게 투숙객들이 bar에 놀러온 손님들과 별도로 편안하게 쉴 수 있는 공간은 마련되었으면 합니다. 체크인&체크아웃까지 굵직하게 불편했던 부분들만 얘기드리니 이런 부분이 시정된다면 보다 나은 숙소로 거듭날것이라고 생각됩니다. 그외 숙소의 청결함과 조식의 품질 등은 좋은 편이었습니다~!!(내부 인테리어도 개성있게 잘 꾸며진거 같았습니다.)

종업원이 굉장히 친절합니다. 항공편 딜레이로 체크인이 꼬였는데 친절하게 도와주고, 심지어 항공사 실수로 짐을 잃어버렸는데 필요한 물건을 빌려줬어요. 숙소상태도 깔끔하고 적당히 넓고 시원하고 따뜻한 물이 잘 나오고 침대도 편안하고 좋았어요. 제일 좋은건 위치입니다. 워털루역까지 도보 5분거리, 빅벤까지는 도보 10분거리입니다.

지내면 지낼수록 묘하게 괜찮았다. 워털루역 근처라 이동 편하고, 호텔 바로 앞 식당들이 다수고, 호텔 로비 바 분위기도 괜찮다(커피도 맛있다).

Great stay at this very quirky gem of a hotel. Central to everything with a label of civility you can afford. Cocktails at night, breakfast could have had a hot option. But ace stay.

We are a Military service family and I needed to cancel my room one week before due to my partner being called away and wanted a refund or to change the date. They refused both requests which meant we lost our money. Very unhelpful DO NOT BOOK WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Modern, clean, and beautifully presented throughout with an artisan feel, this hotel really wowed me. A quiet (I.e. pedestrian street no traffic noise) location but by no means sleepy. There were multiple independent bars and restaurants nearby and a thriving food / other market on the doorstep. Also close to the South Bank for many attractions. My room was well appointed, clean, modern, lovely bed and shower, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They even swiftly helped me to locate and return to me a lost item - so rare to get this level of service. Food menu looked tasty, but didn’t try it. For context, this hotel was the same price as a travelodge on the night of stay. It’s a no-brainer to stay here and I’d highly recommend it to friends and family. Thank you Ruby Lucy!

As you will read, the reviews of this hotel are wonderful and I will say that they are all true. The hotel is clean, safe, great walking distance to everything and has a very welcoming vibe to it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Although I had an issue during my stay, the reaction from the management team honestly outweighed the otherwise negative experience. It is one thing to say you take great pride in service and guest experiences, but it’s another to truly live it and I do see that this is extremely important to Ruby Lucy management.

Fantastic brand new hotel in pedestrian street nestled behind Waterloo station. The hotel is modern quirky and has a sleek design. The bar and the breakfast room are really cool places to hang out and there is even a rooftop. The hotel is conveniently located a 5-minute walk from Waterloo and all of the underground lines it serves which is perfect for London exploration. It is also a minute away from the Old Vic. I will definitely stay again. The rate was very reasonable given the quality and neighborhood.

Lovely hotel situated in a great area with easy access to Waterloo station. Fantastic decor and a great vibe throughout. Lovely cocktails served in the bar too!

Fun and comfortable. Very attentive staff, nice breakfast and coffee. Self serve hot taps were not hot enough for good tea making.
