Very disappointed! The bathroom was excellent though. Very old smell, bed had flies in and on the floor! Doors sure could use a paint job as well as the windows. There were no room darkening blinds unless you call roller shades that have seen a better day room darkening! Not!! The hall with all the old things was interesting!

A historic property in the historic part of Powell River. A very quiet area and a lovely hot breakfast was included.

Our room was beautiful and decorated with old-timey stuff, kinda like you're staying in an Edwardian grandma's guest room. AC was strong, water was hot and good pressure, bed comfy, Apple TV on the big-screen tv. Complimentary breakfast was excellent, both in taste and presentation, the best we'd had on the sunshine coast.

My wife and I stayed in the "Government Office" room #6 for a couple of nights. We found this found this room to be spacious and comfortable. The property had a ton of charm and character, as did the room, plus the diner was excellent for breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely look to book here again if we were coming to this town.

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. It is a very unique experience.

Had to leave before breakfast to catch a ferry, missing the 8:00am opening in a nice looking little restaurant. Eclectic lovely space

When we checked in we were notified that the power would be out the next day from 8 am to 6 pm. As a reminder, that we should have known, although no indication of this on the website or any other booking site. "So will breakfast be at 7:00?" I ask. "No there is no breakfast" he says. "So what do we do then?" He says he will have muffins, bread, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc. in the spare room. Okay, but nothing near the $60 breakfast included and paid for in the reservation. The next morning there was no sign of any staff in the entire hotel, and no breakfast. We were on our own and had to wait until the noon ferry to get coffee and food, on our own expense.

We loved how unique and homey the hotel felt, and the breakfast was amazing!

Breakfast was awesome. Friendly staff. Near lots of food, craft beer, local activities. And Powell River is beautiful and GREAT! Will return!

An historic courthouse, converted to an inn. Some rooms are quite spatious-some are very small. Antiques everywhere. Cafè is a great place to start your day! Beds are comfortable. Ours was a twin

Mean dog greeted us at checkin. The restaurant was closed due to renovation. The breakfast offered in lieu was completely inadequate. We chose this property because of the great breakfast reviews. Will not stay here again.

The hotel is funky in a good way. Its an old building and things are not perfect but it was clean and the beds super comfortable. Very friendly manager . Breakfast at the restaurant diwnstairs was delicious. If you like everything modern and perfect this won't suit you but if you prefer character wh we re you stay I recommend it.

The room was tidy, clean, bathroom updated. Old English hotel vibe. Quiet at night and lots of parking.

Overall a nice room and kind staff, a bit noisy but not unexpected with how old the building is. Was a bit disappointed when we found someones broken off fake nail in our bed and the sheets with some stains. Everything else was very nice and organized. Hubby loved the new shower!

We loved the vibe of this whole hotel: the very welcoming hosts, the way it’s decorated with antiques, the delicious breakfasts in Edie Mae’s Cafe in the mornings. It was a great base for exploring the Powell River area, and we highly recommend staying at The Old Courthouse!

I liked the ambience with the old world charm of the setting and furnishings. The room was comfortable and the made to order breakfast from Edie Rae’s restaurant on site was included as part of my stay, so a real bonus. The old world style chairs in the room could use replacement as the cushioning filling is practically gone and super uncomfortable. The only other piece is that I didn’t mind the 9 a.m. breakfast start but the description in the room amenities did say that ‘for early risers there would be mini muffins ice, and snacks in a separate room.’ The only thing in this tiny room was the ice machine and a vending machine with for pay snacks. Not terrible as there was an espresso coffee maker in my room. Overall, I would still recommend staying at the Old Courthouse Inn and I will return.

This place is awesome! It reminds me of Fawlty Towers in all the right ways. I showed my extended family photos of the hotel, and they all wished they had booked here. They give you a key! An actual physical key! Loved it.

What stood out? Everything!! The decor was right up our alley, being Tudor and filled with furniture from the period. Built in 1939 it’s a total throwback to a different time, and very well done. The owner checked us in and gave us a lowdown as to how everything worked. He then went back to wallpapering the inside of a glass front cabinet, totally hands on. The room was spacious, and decorated for the time. The bathroom was quite big with a wonderful showerhead. The bed was comfy, and the. Ending nice and warm. There is a great Indian restaurant a couple of minute walk away, and your room key gets you 10% off the bill, a nice plus. Our included breakfast was great as well, the trifecta. We would absolutely come back and stay, and highly recommend you check it out as well.

My daughter and I stayed here while in PR for a hockey tournament, and we loved it!! Room was clean and pretty. The charging cubes in the nightstands were a hit, and the little candies made our day!! Loved the good pressure in the shower, and the bathroom was nice and clean too. Staff was great. Bed was comfortable, and we loved the pillows. Will totally stay again if we have to go back for more hockey in the future.
