Great location clean and tidy

Kitchen utensils need updating, I think previous patrons used plastic spatula in toaster, toaster smelt of plastic and spatula was melted. No salt and pepper in cupboard and no milk in fridge on arrival

We had a good stay overall. The room suited exactly what we needed for a quick CBD visit, mainly just a place to sleep. It had nice amenities, a comfortable bed, and a spacious shower, which was a highlight. The room was generally clean, though it could probably do with a more thorough clean in some areas. Parking was limited, but it was secure and ultimately convenient. The staff were all friendly and helpful with check-in/out.

Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Our family of 4 booked their 2 bedroom with the 2 twins layout for the kids. Our check in was late (we arrived a little after midnight) and found the room to be so dirty, as if no one had ever cleaned the place before. There was no one at reception after hours so I emailed the front desk and no one responded until late morning the next day. We were so exhausted and they didn’t respond so we had to stay the night but the room was so bad that we booked another place to stay for the rest of our trip. The next morning they offered a refund but only for the unused nights. I feel like this hotel is one of those that scams people into thinking they’re a reputable business just to collect one night’s stay and then they do a quick turnover to collect a night from the next victim. The washer and dryer was molded and smelled so bad. The oven is covered in food and debris. There’s mold in the shower. Heavily stained chairs. I’m very disappointed hotels.com is allowing this establishment on their platform.

Great location and easy to find. Staff were great

Room are dirty, dust in everywhere with blood on bedsheet, can hear the voice from next door. Called reception twice with no on pick up, the good thing is it’s located in city centre.

The Alto Hotel is not worth staying at. The air conditioning did not work in our bedrooms. There was dirt buildup in the corners of the bathroom floor. The staff were not very friendly and seemed extremely stressed. I did not get my security deposit back!

We loved this little hotel - excellent location close to all transport - airport bus, free trams, buses and easy walking to sights. Fabulous staff, especially Jess and really appreciated the latte machine downstairs.

Clean rooms and great location

朝スーツケース3個預かってもらったらチェックインまでに部屋まで運んでくれてました。部屋はメゾネット形式で綺麗でしたが、掃除は毎日してくれませんし、タオル交換もなかったのでフロントまで取りに行きました。フロントさんは英語も喋れない私達にも優しく接してくれました。ロビーでの飲み物とクッキーのサービスは良かったです。

Staff were courteous and friendly. Close to tram stop and restaurants, also near to Coles. Decent sized fridge/freezer. Free filtered water was good to grab each morning before heading out.

Was a good location, beds were comfortable and linen was fine. Was great having a kitchen and good air conditioning. But The room was very tired. Shower door was falling off and carpet seemed dirty. Big stain on rug and carpet.

Room was not clean. Parking restrictions were not clear and we ask for late return, the desk agent said that it was ok, upon return they complained. They are a part time hotel staff,thats inconvenient.

Hotel was 4 star rated. However the property is quite old. Good location, can walk everywhere and close to station. Unfortunatey we left our bags in "secure storage". When we came back in the afternoon one of our bags had been opened and valuuable item stolen. Manager said he spoke to staff and they knew nothing about it. I would not recommend staying here. Thus soured our experience with this hotel. We have never had thus happen before over many hotel stays in Aus or overseas.

Clean hotel

Didn’t realise you needed to put up a sign on the door saying you wanted your room serviced. I’m familiar with putting up a Do Not Disturb sign but didn’t expect a Service Please sign to be needed. There were 3 air conditioning units and they were temperamental. Sometimes they did and didn’t work. Good kitchen facilities but unfortunately the pan was scratched up beyond safe to use. Location was excellent. Very close to trams and although onsite parking was small, I liked that it was locked and onsite.
