Nice location, and easy check in. Beautiful view of the Grampians. Cottage had all necessary amenities, but lacked basics to make it a true 4.9/5 stars. Pod machine with no coffee pods, no basics in the fridge (only 1/4 bottle of opened milk), no basic bfast supplied. Very untidy outside, gardens and lawn very overgrown and building structure definitely needing some attention. Not sure if I give it much more than a 3/5 considering the price paid.

Great cottage and locate

Everything was perfect getaway for a few days with my partner

Quiet, spacious, luxurious, local wildlife and an awesome coffee machine.

Dirty, towels and sheets did not look thoroughly cleaned, no guard around fire place, chimney leaked water after rain. Not as luxurious as images make it seem.

Location wonderful. Property not maintained. Second stay in 12months. Dirty floors, broken light in bathroom, skirting boards fallen offf.

The property was in a beautiful setting but the cottage itself was disappointing. Blown lights, TV was a black and white picture. Bedside table was broken, spa headrests were broken. Dead flys in the en-suite, walk in robe hadn’t been vacuumed for some time. Maintenance needed on the inside and definitely the outside. I didn’t feel it was worth $$$

Not recommended at all. Photos are deceiving as this property is not maintained to a level expected of even basic accomodation. Left over dairy items left in fridge on arrival. Outdoor garbage bin full on arrival. Only 3 forks (accom sleeps 6). Dirty & damaged outdoor tables & chairs. Indoor furnishings dusty & in need of a good clean. Empty wine & water bottles left on porch. Dish washer out of order. No pegs for laundry. Limited privacy for master bedroom (off living area) In complete building finishes. No safety rails on veranda. Cluttered. Definitely NOT the Executive Retreat advertised.

Cleanliness really let this place down. Floors and surfaces were a bit dusty, there were crumbs on the sofa, but the worst part was all the dead flies on the edges of the bedroom and living room. They really should have given the place a vacuum before checkin. Amenities were nice, with spa and modern kitchen. Be aware that there is no mobile phone or data reception in this area.

A lovely property with plenty of space, just a rough around the edges. Not as 'premium' as the other spaces, but still very lovely. THE GOOD - Plenty of space between properties to feel secluded! - Always surprised by wildlife each morning (rabbit, kangaroo, deer) close to our property. - Plenty of supplies for the weekend provided (bacon, eggs, bread, coffee, milk, etc). Wine, bath salts and chocolates was a lovely touch. - Lots of bathroom amenities also provided, lots of shampoo/conditioner/hand-soap (a pet hate of mine when it's limited!) - Caretakers offered solutions to our issues despite not being local to property, received apology call from manager, nice to reach out. THE NOT AS GOOD - Had an issue opening our door (very stuck!), easy call to the caretaker, but it sounded like it would've been difficult to get someone out to assist around our arrival time (~7pm). Eventually got in, though! Arrive early to avoid issues. - Didn't appear we were provided the key to access the other two rooms of the property. Only the two of us, so thankfully not required, but would've like to have seen the whole space. - One of the slats for the bed was broken away from the frame, making it flex when we rolled over - Often making a loud noise, sounding as if the bed was going to break. Additionally, the struts used to hold the center part of the frame were bent out and were not supporting the bed appropriately, causing us to dip into the middle of the bed. Solvable issues.

Beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Amazing views with wildlife coming right up to the doorstep

I'll start with the positives! Quiet idellic location with clean room and comfy bed! Facilities nice but missing a few things as the photos on website described. My only negatives are because of the price per night didn't live up to the standard. The communication was mixed, we received 2 emails checking us into 2 different places- the number listed in the email for the caretaker was wrong so we couldn't contact anyone to check which unit we would be staying in. I emailed Saku with my issue (who was overseas) but a return email didn't come back until we checked out Sunday morning. The photos on the website showed a fire pit with nice couch but sadly they were no where to be found when we arrived. Apparently they were renovating but didn't notify us that what you saw on website wasn't by what you were getting. There weren't any coffee pods for the coffee machine, again apparently they we changing over machine and but this hadn't been done. The fan in the bathroom couldn't be used as someone had push the button into the wall. As we couldn't contact the car taker, none of the issues were able to be resolved. Again, I think I just expected more for the price per night. I had called saku a few times but never received return phone calls only emails because they were overseas.

Spa is the best facility to utilise after a hard day of walking and hiking in the woods. The site is well set up and the owner is prompt with all my small concerns raised through the mobile phone. I get to see wallabies just outside the windows every morning and the place is truely money well spent!

This is a nice place. Good facilities. The spa is amazing. It's secluded and private and there really are animals everywhere when you get up in the morning and in the evening. The location is great - away from the hustle and bustle of halls gap but only a quick drive away. We found the bed to be super uncomfortable though. It's really, really soft with all the support of a hammock so we woke up in pain every day. Plus it's really cold. We left the heater on all day while we were out just so we wouldn't freeze at night when we got back. The tile floor does not help, nor does the open shower. We stayed the last weekend in September so I certainly wouldn't come here in the middle of winter, but it's probably better in the warmer months. Could have used a thorough clean but wasn't too bad.

The cottage and surrounds are gorgeous but unfortunately it is not maintained to the standard expected for the price. The toilet bowl was dirty, there was no wood in the basket for the fire, no salt in the shaker, no tissues, no drinking glasses or garbage bags. There were flies spiders and cockroaches. The door between the bedroom and lounge was broken and the outdoor shade cloth loose at its hinges so it flapped and banged all night in the wind keeping us awake! I have never written a negative review before and emailed the owners for their feedback but very disappointingly no response. Hence why I write this now. Such a shame as this property has a 5 star / 10 out of 10 potential given the right TLC.

The idea of a bush retreat was fabulous, the location and views were great and the local wildlife abundant. The property itself needs lots of work, grounds and accommodation. Definitely not 5 star although the open fire and spa were lovely. We enjoyed our stay but felt a bit ripped off with the pricing for what we got. Communication with the property managers was difficult as they were hard to understand on the phone.

Inside the room was really nice but outside needs a lot of work, also the air conditioner doesn't really work well when it's really hot.

We were late getting to our accommodation due to floods and the owners went out of their way to make sure we had an additional contact and ringing us regularly until we were there. The accommodation was beautiful and our kids absolutely loved waking up to kangaroos and emus outside their bedroom window. Beautiful location.

Very easy to find and we liked the fact that it was very urban and just three cottages at the property. The tap in the kitchen was very loose, couldn't get bbq to work and there was no cleaner are my only negative comments. The room is absolutely beautiful, along with the great shower room and hot tub. Exactly what we wanted for our weekend visiting the Grampians national park as everything is a ten minute drive away.

We had an amazing time . The property is well maintained. We had kenguroo visits every evening! We will be back again!!!
