Bayside House - โฮสเทล

For this property it is a cool and cheap place to stay if you are on a budget. But one thing that threw me off about the place was when I left to go out one day I left my suitcase in the room and when I returned later that day the door was open meaning anyone could walk in and take things from my suitcase. I’m going to guess that it was being cleaned and good thing nothing was taken and that I had my bag full of my more important things on me, but it made me see this property in a poor light.

Basic accommodation, reasonably priced and clean. We arrived out of hours and communication and self check in was great.

Everything was pretty good would have liked some more places to be able to put everything in the bathroom, also the bed was a little low. Other than that we had a really great time and enjoyed our stay

Close to walking distance to St. Kilda if you wish to explore St.Kilda and The Beach. Sundays they have Markets

I liked the quietness of the room. It was cheap. The top bunk was comfortable but unstable it moved as I was getting up. The room was crowded. No space people's belongings everywhere. The television had no batteries so you couldn't watch it. People where everywhere. The toilets where messy with flies and a lone spare button and hair the ladies and unisex. Limited charging ports. It was a disgrace. This hostel should get a award for going great to rapidly getting worse with time instead of improving. The receptionist and cleaner wasn't the originals and I liked the original workers better bring them back.

Often messy common areas with dirty bathrooms. Not to mention the guests rolling joints in the main common area at around 9-10pm ensuring that half the building was covered in weed stench. Will not be going back.

I liked how everyone looked out for everyone. There was a airconditioning in the rooms and it was quite. Also bathroom was private even the unisex ones. Dislike tissues on the ground dirty bathroom with hair all around it.

This hostel was gross. It didn’t have cleaners come in to clean the communal showers or bathrooms (which are right beside eachother so the smell when you’re showering isn’t nice). The front desk staff were in charge of cleaning the kitchen but they didn’t sanitize anything just wash the dishes and wipe down the counter near the sink. Further someone in our 6 bedroom checked out and they didn’t change the sheets before the next person checked in so they slept on their dirty sheets. The common area was nice and big and good to meet people in. However, there were many older people in the common areas partying that were not staying in the hostel. I wouldn’t recommend this hostel.

Great place

The bedding did not smell good and the pillows were uncomfortable. Also the place where the private room is located you can hear all the noise from the living room so I could not rest very well. The staff was very friendly
