Didn’t see the pool

After the snow the property was lovely and warm and the beds were super comfy. Good breakfast too.

Lovely old place, in need of a revamp.

Lovely little hotel in the forest. Quiet and secluded. Rooms are clean with lovely bathrooms. Dinner was delicious. Staff were polite, welcoming and super friendly. Would definitely stay again

Well past its heydey. Abrasive or oddly condecending service which seemed combative even to the most benign of questions. This made us feel stupid or bad for asking - even simple questions like "do you have my credit card number?" got an all knowing smart alec resopnse. (I note many other online reviews mention simillar lines of unusual ) Food options beware!... Everything looks reheated or from a packet and is very expensive for this level of junk. My chicken parma was very OLD, sweaty and inedible for fear of poisoning, chef agreed to throw out a whole batch as it was clearly not fresh) Tables in restaurant were so dirty that plates and cutlery strongly stuck to the table surface. (we took video) Tables were just so dirtly that where diners placed their elbows or forearms on the table there was a sticky build up of human skin, arm hair and general body detritus that was stuck to each table, like greasy belly button gunk! I suspected they watered down their tap beer too. Room was clean but worn out. The kitchen extraction systems in room 5 make the whole room buzz all night. Fire escape/rear entrance staricase safety lighting did not work and needs a phone torch to navigate. This hotel seems like a late 1970s build and is just not up to today's more modern expectations. Our TV didnt work but we didn't complain becasue we felt like we'd be made to feel it was our fault that it was not working or such. Just really poor value and living on past glory. Avoid

Location was great. Easy access to lots of trails and beautiful scenery.

Absolute beauty. Old charm with new amenities. The owners and staff are very welcoming and accomodating. It’s almost like being in your own home. Warm and friendly environment and can’t wait to see stay again
