Great community in the hostel - was mostly working holiday people. The breakfasts are filling (yoghurt, muesli, toast) and there is decent workout equipment. bring your own shampoo. sleeping pods are clean, but some of the other tenants can have some absolutely rancid shoes. Staff sprays down shoe cubbies daily so usually not too much of an issue after they do their cleaning at noon. Good afternoon events (trivia night, sausage sizzles, movie night). All rooms have cold AC running; make sure to pick up your blanket at the front desk.

The worst hostel ever. After check-in, the room was a mess, with an AC cover opened and a machine at the corner. The room needs significant remodeling, but the owner just wants to make profit before it’s ready. None of the lights nor charging ports work except only one. After reporting to the front desk, one electrician spent 30 min and couldn’t fix them. Everything is broken, including the room fridge (water leaking overnight), hair dryer, men’s room’s toilet, and bath water not hot enough. The owners do not care or bother to fix them. The room smells, probably from AC or the wall paint. The bed feels wet. The bedsheet/quilt have dark spots. Even after 10pm it was still noisy outside with parties. The strong chlorine odor from the swimming pool comes directly to the room.

It's a hostel, so you need to know what this means - shared toilets and showering. Breakfast was good and great location for Queen Street and walkable to Suncorp, which suited us.

The staff were very helpful and polite. We had a queen room, so had a bathroom to ourselves. It was clean and had useful amenities. The location is very good. My only gripe was the amount of noise during the evening and early morning. The ground floor corridor door made such a loud annoying noise every time it opened and closed. Plus voices, luggage being wheeled etc just echoed through that corridor making a peaceful sleep impossible.

My partner and I had a private double room for 2 nights. Room was obviously simple but well worth the price and bathrooms were modern and very clean. We didn’t use the kitchen ourselves but seemed very clean although I wouldn’t rely completely on the complimentary breakfast as when we got downstairs around 9am most things were already gone. Bed was comfy though and was quiet by around 10:30/11pm

Wow! We were extremely impressed with all the staff members as they were very happy, really helpful and wanted you to enjoy your stay. We had a room for the two of us and it was really clean, spacious with our own bathroom. There was not any loud noises and the bed was so comfortable. Really impressed with this accommodation and would recommend to anyone who needed to stay in Brisbane. Thank you for making our stay so lovely 😍

I enjoyed the AC in the room, was a very nice way to cool off. I just needed a place to rest at night basically so that's why I booked here. Check in went good. Lots of bags and stuff just stored around the room, but it felt safe and there wasn't anyone too loud during quiet hours.

It's not my first stay here and its usually a nice place to stay, good location and nice staff. This time I stayed in a solo threebed room. After a few hour I realise that I didn't have any electricity in my room and went to the reception and told them my problem. They promise to look into it and come back to me. Nobody did and because I was busy working on my computer and needed to reload it I went back to the reception. They come with a lot of stupid excuses and after a while admitted that something was broken and that I couldn't be fixet during my two night stay. It's not possible to stay in a room without electricity with only one lamp in the ceiling specially because I was working and need both my computer and my cellphone. I asked to be moved to another room or to an other hotel but got no help at all. The threaten to throw me out on the street if I didn't accept to stay in the room without electricity and I had no other option then accept it. They promise to refund the money I had payed for the room. I asked if they could take a cable from another room and first they sad no but after a few hours the lady in the reception came with a cable that connected to an other room. My problem is that no money have been refunded even after I sent them 2 message so they seems to think that its OK to first promise me to refund my money and then take the full payment for a room without electricity .

Place was clean and had shared kitchen facilities, kind staff, and clean bathrooms with very nice design (seriously impressed me). Love that it had a pool though it was small (not at all a problem, just nice for a dip), very close to shopping & tour meetup locations, and close to bus/trains though IGNORE GOOGLE MAPS to walk here - it likes to take you up stairs & down big hills etc).

Outstanding! I love staying here at YHA! It’s fantastic in every way! From the moment you arrive here at YHA always greeted by the most amazing, beautiful people who are ALL fabulous with a warm welcome, smiles & SO helpful! The service is superb! The location is sensational! SO central to all that you could possibly need here in our most amazing City! Beautiful Brisie is shining bright always ! Even more so now after our local footy legend wins making us all proud. We have Olympic Games approaching, which will be FANTASTIC for us all! I was blessed to be living on the stunning Sydney Harbour, for 2000. YHA is the perfect spot for ‘32! Centred to the Iconic Lang Park, the Gabba & Victoria Park, the Venue for ‘32! You can be to ANY in 5 minutes! Transport is excellent! It’s SAFE her! Close by beautiful the City Shopping, just a short leisurely stroll. FABULOUS Dining Options to cater for ALL tastes & Cuisines! Sensational! Our stunning beaches & countryside. Beautiful Wineries in Stanthorpe Region. The Lockyer Valley Farms. This City & YHA have it all! YHA facilities are AMAZING L! From the spacious, clean, quiet rooms, catering for ALL your needs. The rooftop community kitchen & the terrace with views that will leave you breathless & wanting more & not wanting to leave! Sensational! YHA Brisbane is more than a place yo stay. It’s SO much more! It’s community, a family & friendly atmosphere where ALL are welcome. It’s my GO TO whenever I’m in town. I LOVE YHA! Wonderful pod type sleeping cells with plenty of storage. Staff are great, however i get the sense that since many guests are short term there is less uegency and priority to helping resolve issues between guests. For example enforcing quiet hours in rooms (i LOVE the quiet hours policy great hours chosen). Facilities fairly clean although shower needs love and there was a queue for accessible shower. Finally, premises fairly clean, but i got influenza from staying at this hostel (and i have stayed in MANY hostels with no issues) but that is more about other guests than the hostel itself. Staff good and attentive at all hours. I didnt visit bar / restaurant so i cannot review that aspect.
