Discovery Parks - Gerroa

Cabin was amazing! I loved it

We stayed at Discovery Parks - Gerroa and overall had a comfortable stay. One thing that felt a little unusual as tourists was being placed very close to the permanent residents in the park, which made the atmosphere feel less like a holiday campground at times. The cabin itself was well equipped and we appreciated small touches like the bathtub and the body lotion provided. The staff were also very helpful — we had an issue with a broken door and it was fixed very quickly after we reported it. The view over the lake was pleasant, although not particularly spectacular. A big plus was having two separate air conditioning units, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, which made the stay much more comfortable. We did not end up using the camping facilities, so cannot comment on those, but overall it was a good and practical stay.

We brought our own dishwashing detergent and sponge, should probably bring your own knife too. But otherwise the place was as good as you get. Very close to the beaches. It is one car per booking too, which was not clearly stated on Expedia. We made a booking for a two bedroom cabin that sleeps four people, however the booking was made for two guests as it was the default selection. We checked in without knowing extra fees will apply to extra guests. And discovery park was kind enough to send me a threatening email a day after I checked out asking for the money. If you are curious about what hotels are capable of in terms of treating their guests like criminals, I highly recommend you this place. Overall a very impressive stay.

We stopped for two nights in the motel style rooms. The room was large and the beds comfortable. It was a short and pleasant walk to the beach. Geroa is a beautiful area. We really enjoyed it.

Comfy beds, clean room, well stocked kitchen, wonderful kids facilities, parking, wifi and air con / heater.

We really enjoyed our stay in a superior 2 bedroom cabin, lovely leafy outlook from the cabin, with a view of the creek. Cabin was spacious, clean and well equipped, the only thing it lacked was an oven, though it did have a stove top and microwave, comfy bed, good quality linen and toiletries, comfy sofa and good wifi, easy parking next to the villa. Would definately stay again.

Kitchen was fully equipped. Just the odour inside the room wasnt good. Overall nice stay.

We enjoyed our first experience at the holiday park birthday weekend stay with our 2yr old. The cabin was clean and contained everything we needed as a family of 3, from secure late check in, parking space, tv x2, bbq to a/c to fridge/ freezer. We took a look at the reviews and park map to ensure we booked a cabin in a quiet location away from childrens play equipment. We would book again as it's not too far from Sydney. Looking forward to next time.

Location of the park, have always loved that part of the south coast.

Wife unsatisfied and cracked it because the pool had a curfew an closed at sunset so she couldn't go swimming.had to cut holiday short an drive home 5 hours

Location was peaceful

Gerroa was what you expect in a cabin. It was quiet and friendly.. it had mini golf, bouncy pillow, pedal karts bbqs and a pool. Walk 10 mins to beach. Could drive to other places from their eg minnamurra falls, werri beach . Wonderful experience

Lovely self contained cabin close to the beach. Close to restaurants & cafes as well. Very convenient location!

Over priced

The Superior room was such a great place to stay in. With cleanliness, we found a used floss pick near the bunk beds. But that was all. We were worried as there were kids constantly riding their bikes and cutting through the grass onto the carport next to our car. Also found kids and adults feeding the ducks and magpies next to our porch where we stayed so for the last 2 days we had magpies constantly waddling around the entrance. Another issue we had was a blackout on the last night of our stay. So there was no hot water and no electricity. Also no reception and have to rely on dodgy wifi constantly cutting out at certain hours of the night and day. Overall it was a beautiful place, would recommend it to anyone and everyone. The beach isn’t far, the room was so convenient. Thank you Gerrora Staff who were so kind and respectful to us.
