Terrible choice for our anniversary weekend. Photos looked amazing online but the reality was far different. Property hasnt been maintained well cracked tiles broken toilet roll holder and a bathroom door that didnt shut. Wood floors throughout meant you could hear everything so no privacy and meant a rough nights sleep. Lights on timers which we didnt know until they kept going out. Also be sure to have a physical card on you for check in as they wouldnt accept a scan of a digital and forced us to provide $500 cash for a security deposit. Had we been told when booking this was a requirement we would have made sure we had it rather than beimg blindsided on arrival. Staff were unwillingly to compromise or provide information about closest ATM either. Very dissapointed

A hidden Gem in the heart of the city.. Amazing service from all the super friendly team… Rooms were a very good size and extremely clean… Adjoins a number of amazing bars and restaurants - including the famous Mr Wong’s. Definitely recommend a stay for anyone looking to experience Sydney.

Staff were great. room size was good. Noise was very bad with little to no noise insulation between the room and very large very loud bar which kept going to 3am on Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday had a wedding with live band running to midnight and Monday had nearby building works. If the owners could improve noise issues the Hotel would be great. As is we are unlikely to stay there again

The Establishment hotel is wonderful! The hotel has so much character and The location is absolutely perfect.

We have stayed here a number of times and we cannot fault the team at The Establishment. It’s certainly a favourite of ours in Sydney. Thank you for making our stay so memorable yet again.

Excellent property and would be even better if they had noise control or insulation in walls and windows so you don’t hear everything.

Amazing staff, could not ask for a better location in the city, surrounded by phenomenal bars and restaurants. Our corner room was very noisy, could hear all the street noise and everything from the hallway and adjacent rooms. Would definitely stay again

Nicely furnished room with an excellent mini bar and sound system. Quite noisy as rooms are not sound proofed. Problematic hot water as takes about 3 mins to get hot and not much pressure. Nice bathtub but took too long to fill so could not use it. Mattress was a bit past its prime and the flashing smoke alarm was mounted directly above the bed so was annoying while trying to sleep. Woke at 7am on Saturday morning to the sound of a jackhammer in the laneway...but this was not the hotel's fault apart from the non soundproofed windows.

Very sophisticated hotel in the restaurant precinct. Staff really lovely. Breakfast delicious (in room dining). Bar on site. They gave us champagne on arrival because it was our wedding anniversary. Absolutely loved it. Will return.

Unusual and interesting boutique vibes, liked the Palmer and Co bar and Kid Kyoto restaurant being basically next door. Some street noise audible on a Saturday night but earplugs provided if you need them. Endearingly oddball selection of free movies on the telly.

Great boutique hotel in vibrant location. Super bar and club attached (no sound issue), eclectic common areas with large, comfortable rooms and furnishings. Walk to the Rocks, Opera House, trains and ferries.
