The staff member who checked me in was warm, friendly and polite. Her instructions were clear and detailed too. Room was spacious and clean and great bathroom too.

The first impressions for me are always very important. On arrival was greeted by Clair with a pleasent smile and manner. The room was well appointed and spotless, and the staff for dinner very happy to help. The meal was tasty may be a little more filling in the lame pie, crust was a little over cooked. Overall was very happy and will return and highly recommend all travellers between Sydney and Melbourne to try this lovely establishment for themselves.

Whilst the room was well appointed & lovely, there was a lot of constant noise from an external generator? outside our room, which was constant & affected our sleep. In addition, the portable fridge was extremely noisy in its operation. To top off the evening, there were some extremely noisy guests staying in Room 4, who were loud, laughed & carried on to well past midnight. I thought this was rude & inconsiderate to the remaining guests who were obviously keen to get a good night’s sleep! Oh well, here’s hoping karma catches up with the 2 ladies that stayed in room 4. If these 3 things had not occurred, I would have no hesitation in rating the property 5/5.

The fridge constantly stopped and started making sleeping hard

The hotel is comfortable and accessible. we also stayed on a previous Thursday night and ate excellent local lamb in the bistro. However, the food on Monday evening was disappointing - the sirloin was ordinary and the grilled broccoli not cooked - clearly not blanched before grilling and may as well have been raw. Otherwise, our experiences at the hotel have been really positive.

We enjoyed our stay, it was our rest stop. I would recommend the Holbrook Hotel to all my family and friends.

We stayed in room number 2. There were 4 air-conditioner units right outside our bedroom window that were going all night. They were so noisy we could hardly sleep. Apart from the noise it was a good stay

The room is not soundproof. We could hear everything from the outside, the music from the bar around the balcony, people walking, chatting, kids playing. We drove from melbourne to sydney, stop half way, exhasuted. We couldnt sleep until midnight.

The room was clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Great restaurant. Food was beautiful. Was good to have a hotel with no pokies, TAB and horse races on every television. Staff needs some training in pouring a beer. 😉

Unfortunately, I was allocated Room 3. The room was very well presented and clean with all necessities. However, I had very little sleep as the generators and fans situated below the room were a constant noise concern, waking me constantly throughout the night. This left me concerned as I had a long drive to Melbourne the following day. Food and service were good.

Property had been restored very nicely, food was great , wines were good, accomodation was comfortable

Lovely room, friendly staff.

Nice clean room. Large walk in shower. Room 1 was a bit noisy as the windows overlooked an open space where staff served drinks below. Nice renovated hotel though opposite the Submarine and park.

Allocated Room 1 (requested quiet room) with internal windows looking over the kitchen & a work office/space. Very dark as needed to kerp blinds down. V. Noisy as overlooking kitchen where you could hear every word being spoken. Definitely would not stay here agsin
