Mantra Southbank Melbourne

Bathrooms dirty and whole property needs freshening up. Did not think it was value for money. Dispensers in bathroom for soaps/shampoo etc empty. Low quality hotel.

Requested extra blankets and they did take a few hours to arrive. Location to city and crown was excellent

Beds were great… was a little noisy at night due to our room location facing city rd but got used to it.

The kids loved the heated pool and spa, its a 5 minute walk from Flinders station and there are plenty of dining options around. The noise from City rd was manageable. The southbank boulevard playspace is also a short walk away.

Bathroom was very unclean, especially the mirror, toilet and shower, conditioner bottle was empty and wasn't refilled by housekeeping who did absolutely nothing. Gym was very lacking and while parking appears to be included it's actually an extra cost. The free hot chocolate at the end of the day in the foyer was a huge hit with the kids.

I booked for 6 people and the sofa bed they gave us which was meant to sleep 2 of the people was broken (the top end of it was sagging. I called reception and they couldn’t swap our room or provide us with another sofa bed so 3 people had to squish into a queen bed and 2 on one of the singles. They didn’t provide me any sort of compensation for this as of yet. The room was also advertised as soundproof and in a travelling dj so I booked for it to be soundproof so I can practice. At 5.30pm during my stay in practicing and the manager of the hotel walks into my room (I didn’t let him in he scanned himself in) and started shouting at me about the noise. We had a guest currently in the shower at this point and it made us super uncomfortable he came in unannounced. He also threatened to remove us from the building even though the room was advertised as soundproof and it was 6pm. I advise enough about not going here. Was the worst experience I have ever had and the manager was so rude. The room was also super noisy because of the traffic and the thin walls.

Location was close to many attractions within walking distance.

TV channels not always working was disappointing. The maintenance staff being incredibly hungover or possibly still drunk and almost throwing up in one of the elevators was certainly eye opening.

A good location, easy to drive and park and easy to walk places. The pool was a massive hit with the kids. Our room was spacious and nice. All the staff were really friendly and accommodating.

Nice hotel, great amenities like pool and gym, friendly accommodating staff, on-site parking, great features in room, nice breakfast.

Location great. Very noisy room (but probably heating.. but couldn't turn it off). Bedroom TV didn't work. It wasn't expensive – so it was good for it's price. But if you're not a good sleeper.. you don't want to to be able to hear the noises outside your room.

Breakfast buffet was very good and many options.

Room was terrible no view or any thing

Good location however bathroom/shower was a bit dated. Located next to a main road and if you have a room on that side of the hotel the road noise is very loud.
