It's in a great place but still a secluded street with lots close by. It fit us very well

We booked for a 2 BR apartment during this stay. The apartment is nice and clean. It is not too big but not too small as well. For this price, you can not expect luxury. It has washing machine, but no dryer. As we only stay for 1 night, we do not really bother. The location is very good, very close to QV (which has Woolworth, big W, Daiso and Office Work) and close to China Town. As it only opposite to Office Work, it is very convinient for business trip especially when we need to do urgent printing or buy stationary. Plenty of nice restaurants around. Wifi is good.

Very awkward, dirty, overpriced, small apartment.

Very basic accommodation. No wardrobe or dresser in bedroom totally unacceptable for a 12 night stay in a 2 bed apartment. Staff uninterested

The reception has limited hours and the bed in the room was a fold out so was awkward to walk around. In expensive though and a good location to reasonable value for money

Staff were awful Facilities disgusting Charged me the pre authorization for the room but never reversed the charge took 2 weeks of non stop calls to get it back

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor. Key for the balcony doors did not work and one door was not locked. Reception ( next door in a different building) couldn't lock it till Day 2. Then they were all locked but couldn't be unlocked!! Clean but furnishing fairly worn and tired looking. Old noisy A/C but it did work and warmed us up nicely. Great shower! Certainly not the Ritz but it was ok for a few nights and was in easy walking distance of town, trams, buses etc.

pleasantly surprised, with the clean, quiet, spacious apartment, no views to mention from our 2 bedroom apartment, but due to our central location on our 5 day stay, we were only in room for short spaces of time, to rest in-between shopping trips ,or freshen up for evening dining plus sleep.. plenty of restaurants near by, and supermarket 10 minutes walk.. reception staff very friendly and helpful and on several occasions went the extra mile to accommodate our requests....will definitely stay again...

room comfortable but had a bad musty smell if left closed up for the day, bathroom needs a good clean

This hotel was DISGUSTING. There was urine ALL OVER the wall next to the toilet and urine and faeces splatters on the door in front of the toilet. There were also marks on the two walls surrounding the bed that looked like a liquid had landed on the wall and run down. Secondly, although our booking included a dishwasher, we did not receive a room with a dishwasher. Our booking also included a 32 inch TV, however, again, we did not receive this. There were also a couple of smaller complaints. When I spoke to the manager about these issues, she was not willing to do anything, even though our booking was a looong one: 3 weeks. For one's hair, this hotel doesn't provide conditioner, only shampoo. Upon arrival, there were no lamps on the bed-side tables in either of the rooms. The reception hours are limited so it's often difficult to get what you need. We felt like dollar signs in this hotel, NOT guests. This added to the feeling of an uncomfortable stay. All supplies in the room are the No Name brand & the sponge in the kitchen sink was actually a third of a sponge - the staff are made to cut a sponge into three pieces so each room receives only one third of a sponge!!!! A cheaper hotel, I have NEVER encountered, & I've stayed at many similarly priced establishments. This hotel is only 1.5 blocks away from the State Library and the QV shopping centre & very close to Chinatown. The housekeeping staff are very nice but have trouble understanding English.

Before I left to stay at the Katz Apartments - I'd come across many negative feedback reviews from others that had stayed there beforehand and so I was a little concerned about the comfort of my stay and so I shared this with the staff as I booked in. However, I shouldn't have worried because the room had all the facilities I needed to make my own meals (instead of having to go out and buy my meals as one would staying in a hotel room), it was close to the central shopping area, so I could buy my groceries easily and cheaply. The room was nice and clean, the other tennants were quiet (the only noise was from the nightlife - but ear plugs took care of that), free internet, air conditioned, balcony, even a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom - it had everything!!! very reasonable rates and the staff were very helpful and accommodating to my needs......a 5 star experience for the four days that I was there. Thank you very much for a great experience!! Would definitely stay there again!! Sue

On arrival had to wait till afterthought 3pm to check in. Room have pull down bed with sagging mattress. Complained an was offered slightly better room very basic furniture all I n need of upgrading.

Ok room just felt like it wasn't cleaned properly, no complementary toiletries (shampoo/conditioner and body wash) or milk. The staff were good and let us check in early which was nice.

Everything in the kitchen was dirty, and washing/ dryer did not work properly.. Very noisey could hear everything outsids

Bathroom sink was very small which made using the sink very uncomfortable. But overall it was a great place and location.

Fun stay, great location

This is the worst place i have ever stayed. We had to cancel our booking after The first sleepless night due to the extremely uncomfortable Bed. It was so old you could feel ever spring. When complaining about the ciggerette smoke we were told its only in the corridors so it isnt that bad. No window or door to the 'balcony' would open so it was hot and stuffy in the middle of winter! Aweful place, backbackers are better!!
