Had a great stay here on a Friday night recently. Check-in was easy and the staff were nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I booked a room with an ensuite (many rooms are shared bathroom) and it was on the ground floor. There was a window that was on street level but despite this I wasn’t disturbed with any noise throughout the night (and I’m a light sleeper). There’s a bus stop right out the front and it’s a 2 minute walk to the lightrail. Would definitely stay again when I need to be in Pyrmont.

Whilst I was a bit hesitant to book this room because of the shared bathrooms, I was positively surprised by how clean and well kept the whole place was.

Rooms were a bit cold and window was old, felt like it was open all the time. But felt safe in our room and bed was comfy.

Bed was extremely comfortable Shower curtain could be 300 mm longer as the water splashed around the floor But otherwise lovely place

Staff were very friendly and polite. We got there earlier than expected and they were really great with letting us have our room early. Such a great spot close to transport (literally right outside the hotel) and easy walk to Darling Harbour and the city. Check out was super easy by leaving our room keys in the room. Only one negative was the little cockroaches in the ensuite and on the bedside tables. We got 10% off our dinner at Terminus and 15% off our breakfast at the Quick Brown Fox upon saying we were staying at Terminus. Thanks Terminus for our stay.

The property itself is fine and nicely renovated. Shared bathrooms which was fine with me, especially considering the affordable price. It's also nice and close to public transport (tram and bus). The only downside is you're on a main road and it's super noisy. I was aware of the main road situation but expected some mod-cons like double glazed windows at the very least, but it's just the original old-school thin glass stuff. The bus stop was also right outside my window and showed up every 15 minutes... The aircon in my room only seemed to provide heat or the fan mode, no cooling - and I was getting very hot so had to open the window. If you're a light sleeper like me then this won't work out for you. I think I might have slept for about 2 hours if I was lucky. Would it also not be too much to ask to put a TV in the room too, they are very affordable these days.

I am 66 years old and have stayed in hotel/hostels all over the world. The Terminus Hotel may well be the best! The online descriptions do not do it justice. New, clean and numerous bathrooms; as well as comfy sheets, pillows and towels. The pub was fun and friendly. The location is very walkable and buses run right by. Make it your base of operations in Sydney and enjoy your stay.

We liked the antique look of the Hotel and it was close to the venues we were attending that weekend.

Heritage listed Hotel which has been nicely renovated. Friendly staff, great bar and tasty pub food with a discount on food and drink for guests. It's on a busy road so a little noisy but good value and located close to Darling Harbour precinct.

Staff helpful and suitcase taken up the stairs by female employee which made staying more enjoyable.
