Beautiful view from our room. The place was beautiful full of art and made you feel like you’re inside a mini castle. The food was delicious. We would definitely come back. It was just outside Hallstatt but so happy we stayed here instead of Hallstatt. They had Donkeys we got to feed and pet in the yard.

Very warm hospitality, gorgeous room & view, easy access to local bus stops, convenience shops, tourist information center and path to Gosau lake!

Fantastic hotel with lots of history. I didn’t have much expectation when I booked the room here on my long waited journey to Austria. We arrived at night and couldn’t see much of anything. Went to town to have the best dinner on my trip because the hotel’s restaurant is closed on Tuesdays. The room is rustic but well appointed with ample supplies of amenities, hotel history leaflets and useful information. I woke at early at the sound of bells from the nearby churches. For dressed and walk the surrounding gardens, heated pool and sat in the cabana around by the pool glazing at the green mountains in the background. You can see the churches and some houses in the background. The surrounding makes me feel warm like a place where I grew up. Then, I went to have a breakfast at the main lodge. Again, the ambience and quality of foods far exceed my expectations. The quality of foods and services were exceptional. Would definitely recommends this historic hotel to anyone visiting Gosau area of Austria.
