Buttonwood Belize

The Aquarius room was great and clean the bed was very comfortable. The place is managed by the coconut row and guests have access to the amenities there as well.

buttonwood is far away from restaurant, pool, reception...its apartments on its own, close to the beach and a beach bar. probably good for people who want to rent an apartment with cooking facility ...

Perfect location, walking distance from most restaurants/bars, great beach space, fun bar next door with good music and food, awesome views from the room. It was absolutely perfect.

We traveled during the pandemic and had the place to ourselves. Which meant we had their private beach to ourselves! We loved having our own kitchen. I wish we had known that the second floor is where you feel the ocean breezes in Belize. We were on the first floor which was convenient but too warm to sleep with the windows open.

I loved the view of the see from living area. The private covered porch area with hammocks was awesome and the reason we came for a second stay. The roof top patio is also good, we had young kids so didn’t use much though. Being steps away to the sea from our front door makes for an amazing vacation and was perfect for kids.

An amazing stay and accommodations that far exceeded our expectations. The staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful. We loved the location and the unique experience of resort-like accommodations on a free and open beach that allows visitors and locals to connect. Highly recommend Buttonwood and the entire Coconut Row experience, including the top notch Coconut Husk restaurant.

Great location! We loved every moment, to start off the the welcoming fresh coconut drinks were so refreshing, the beach was beautiful, and the management! Modesto went above and beyond to arrange our boat out to the Cayes. The room was very comfortable with fresh filtered water, wifi, A/C, coffee etc. and the rooftop lounge was amazing! We will definitely return!

Très bien situé, la plage à nous! Très propre et bien équipé avec cuisinette. Il peut être pratique d'avoir une voiture pour visiter les environs et éviter les frais (très cher) de transport aux sites d'intérêt.

The resort is part of Coconut Row, the service and resort was fantastic! We wouldn't have changed a thing! Great place to stay and would recommend Buttonwood Guest House for your Stay!

Was great, the local people are wonderful and made us feel very welcome. They took care of every need we had.

Our stay at buttonwood was excellent. I loved the location; right by a convenient store, kitchens, and gift shops. Our room was one of the best parts of our trip, the view was to die for. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, as well as the owner, Damien. Right in the heart of Hopkins Village, you will not be disappointed! The locals hang around here and you're sure to meet some amazing people.

We had a great time at Buttonwood Guesthouse. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The grounds are also stunning and they offer free amenities such as use of bikes and beach towels. The staff were amazing. The guesthouse is very secure. Unfortunately, we were victims of an armed robbery during our stay in Hopkins while we were down the beach at Driftwood Pizza one evening. The guesthouse owner, Damian, was called to pick us up. He was very helpful in the days to follow, including accompanying us to the police station to make our formal report. He also had a meeting with his staff to begin offering a shuttle to Driftwood pizza on Tuesday nights as there are often music events and as we were apparently not the first ones to be robbed while leaving there. We do recommend Buttonwood, but do not recommend Hopkins as a destination at this time. Although it is beautiful there, and the culture is rich and the food is great, the safety is just not adequate right now. We heard of numerous other incidents during our time there. It's really unfortunate because Damian and Buttonwood / Coconut Row are really fantastic as a guesthouse, and the services and amenities they offer are great.
