Sok San Beach Resort

The hotel has 24-hour electricity and aircon. The beach was pristine. The restaurant serves delicious Cambodian food though pricey. Staff seriously need training in hospitality. At the time of my stay, I spot outsiders using the hotel's sunbed. (They stayed at another resort but their friends stay at the hotel) I immediately informed the staff. He said he would take care of the matter. However, no action was taken and no explanation was given to me. I think this is unfair to the hotel guests who paid over $100 per night to stay here. Imagine this happen in the peak season when there are not enough sunbeds for hotel guests.

Smukt sted når man lige kigger på stedet, men kigger man omkring stedet flyder det med affald. Vi var oppe og spørger om nyt sengetøj, da det var mega beskidt( det var næste sæt også). Sengen var ulidelig at ligge i, den knirkede helt vildt og var hård som et bræt. Når de skulle skifte brugte glas, blev de skyllet på badeværelset( da jeg kunne se spor af det jeg drak dagen før, samt glasset var det samme) når man skulle bestille noget eller have tjenerens opmærksomhed, var der større chance for at se en haj i vandet .

Ett bra hotell för att vara på en ö i Kambodja. Personalen är mycket service minded. Tyvärr tar de alldeles för mycket betalt. Hyra en båt för en privat snorkeltur kostade 250 dollar!

Der Weg zum Haus durch den Sand und nicht beleuchtet, ohne Taschenlampe durch Gebüsch sogar gefährlich.Die kleinen Mücken waren unglaublich aggressiv. Kein Moskito Schutz im Zimmer (trotz Angabe in der Beschreibung), auch kein auf der Veranda, die Stühle dort, sehr kantig, hart und unbequem. Essen für längeren Aufenthalt sehr monoton, da nur als Menu.Celeste war immer hilfsbereit und die Beste im Team.

On three occasions during our 7 day stay, only 1 towel was left by housekeepers for the two of us. This was brought to their attention after the first time. Restaurant staff were not very attentive. Twice we had to ask for breakfast menus. Staff seem to be staring into space a lot.

In general, it seems to be good. One thing,I have to mention is the transportation bet. Sihanoukville and the beach. The boat was so small and not comfortable. And the hotel location was good and surrounding environment seems to be good but the management was much to be improved. Esp. restaurant service and food was not good enough.

what can i say an island paradise, excellent staff,excellent rooms,clean well laid out a little bit rustic, but has all u need, good food, a little bit pricey as in american dollars but there is a near-by village thats cheaper if u wanted cheaper, the accom there looked a bit to rustic for my liking. activities were a little sparse as we r not water lovers water, i would have liked some quad bike to explore on not scooters.but apart from that an island paradise loved it

Absolutely stunning beach, purest white sand with beautiful blue sea. Accommodation is good, although a little dated. Food is very good although very expensive which is quite frustrating because prices are inflated 3x as much as normal. Also paying for the speed boat to the island is totally uncalled for especially as your paying so much for food and drink once you arrive, the hotel should think about stop charging for this, it’s a little bit greedy to expect customers to pay $40 per couple per journey. All in all a great hotel and stay, just more expensive than it needs to be.

Hotellet lå langt væk fra alt, men stranden var meget fint. Dårlig kommunikation, fik aldrig svar på de mail vi sendte, da det næsten kræver at man kontakter dem for at kunne komme frem til hotellet.

Stranden nedanför Resorten är barnvänlig och relativt ren, men en längre strandpromenad längs hela stranden är absolut ingen njutning. Det blir mera att navigera mellan soporna.

We stayed in the Chalet, Sea View room, which is a freestanding little building right on the beach, overlooking the water. It was incredible. We sat on our balcony watching the ocean all day. 20 Steps and you're in the water! The resort is very charming, the staff friendly, the breakfast hearty and the Khmer food in the restaurant very delicious. Happy hour is great! They do their best to keep the beach clean, although when we visited in May it was still off-season, with the ocean dumping an incredible amount of trash on the beach each day. I can't fault the resort itself, it's of a high standard while it still has that independent charm (it's not a chain hotel). We rode around the island on a scooter one day and I must say that the beach at Sok San is the most beautiful. The little town nearby is quaint (although not pristinely clean). I could have stayed for another week!

I don't understand the negative reviews and comments that some have left. This place has the most incredible seeing on the island, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. If you put a little effort into making some of your own plans, there are some incredible experienced on offer all around the island. Prices aren't always cheap but the experiences justify posting regular western rates. One note worth mentioning though- government corruption is taking its toll on the island, and stunning hardwood rainforest jungle is being cut and burned in secret right now. I've witnessed first hand the disappearance of 25% of the island's jungle in the past month. I encourage a trip to Koh Rong before the magic is gone.

Tres beau site, plage magique. Les bungalow sont propres et bien décorés, mais pendant notre séjour 4js 3 nuits il n'y avait pas d'eau chaude. Ils n'ont pas su rétablir la situation c'est dommagne. La nourriture du Resort est moyenne. Le BBQ est top mais pas assez varié. Pas de poissons grillés. Le resto du Resort est convenanble mais il n'y a pas la touche (fait main) c'est deja du semi-collectif (buffet etc....)
