Room was clean. Christmas decorations were up. Very welcoming. Hottub was great.

This was a great stay. It was just me and my daughter and we had more room than we needed. The kitchen and living room were great and the hot tub was fantastic!

It was self contained, no staff. Accommodations had no cooking instruments, came with a kettle and coffee maker. The decor and room was nice but pictures where very deceiving.

Great accommodation! Lovely room, hosts were very nice and great location! Would recommend to stay here if looking for a little getaway to Tofino!

Short trip to town and very kind and helpful hosts

Very welcoming owner. The cedar room was perfect for the couple days we were there. Bikes were available for use, beaches are 10 minutes away on them. Lots of info in the room about the area and what to do. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Blackbear Guesthouse has lots of comfort and stylish character. I was a solo traveler without a car but was able to take advantage of a seasonal bus service along the Pacific Rim Highway between Tofino and Ucluelet to get into both towns. The hospitable owners were also happy to give me a lift to Tofino if our journeys coincided. I used Pacific Rim Navigators to get a return trip from Long Beach Airport to the Guesthouse, which is not too far from the airport.

The Cedar room was perfect. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Enough space and bar ‘fridge, plates, silverware etc to organise a simple breakfast. Especially loved the guest deck with the gorgeous peaceful estuary views. We saw our first bear in the wild.. a distant moving black blob, but it was a bear! Jay generously provided binoculars for a possible future sighting but alas!

Such a quant little guest room and had everything you will need. Super clean and walkable to the beach.

Do yourself a favor, do not stay here! The owner is miserable! It's a long story and the owner has already told me that if I leave a bad review she'll just come back and defend it. In short, we were in the area with a bigger group so had to find accommodation for us in a few different places as we all didn't fit in one house. I booked everything under my name to match the credit card payment (all on Expedia) and when we got there we all divided ourselves between the Airbnb's. This one had room for 5 and so 4 stayed here (2 adults and 2 children). One evening a few others from our group went there for a couple hours to hang out and got quite loud. (They didn't realize they had a suite under them and no one knocked on their door to say anything) The next day we got kicked out! The owner (Bobby) said that it was false booking because it was registered under my name but I wasn't physically staying there! I have no idea why that matters, it was still our group..it also never said anywhere that I needed to register the names of all occupants She then proceeded to take money off my card without any communication for the 2 children who also stayed there. Very untrustworthy. (Expedia said children can stay for free!) Apparently we 'violated the policies' but no one sent us any policies at all. it wasn't listed on Expedia either. Nothing about this makes sense. Wondering if this was a easy money grab but other than the noise complaint, she could have been much more reasonable.

Awesome apartment, beautiful and spacious for a small group or family, so perfectly situated for everything to do and see in Tofino, and the Sound on one side and the beach on the other are just wonderful. The hosts are so lovely, really will only stay there next trips!

Great clean and cosy stay with bikes and access to deck with stunning views. Host was very friendly and helpful.

The property was in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees and near the ocean. We walked to the beach in less than 10 mins. The suite was cozy, clean and everything we hoped for. We loved our stay!

A quite rental for a solo traveler.

Nice accommodation. Liked how bikes were included and it was a very short easy ride to the beach. House was stalked with everything you need to cook and the hot tub is nice to relax in. The guest house is very close to permanent residents. Found the mornings were quite noisy.
