By The River Bed&breakfast

A lovely property, rich in history. A beautifully maintained home. Great homemade breakfast too. A wonderful stay.

We wish we had stayed more than one night. And wish I had booked spa treatments. We will absolutely stay again. What a treasure of a place. And an umbrella was provided because it was raining. Thank you!!

Wonderful! Comfortable, clean, loved it all

The room was very nice and clean, but the morning the coffee and the breakfast was late.

Very nice Victorian house. The woman who runs it (Danielle) was very friendly and cooked a nice homemade breakfast to order. My only complaint is the sink didn't drain. Otherwise a very nice stay.

This was our second time staying. Rooms are large, comfortable bed, great breakfast. This goes for both stays

We enjoyed our stay! It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast which was a different experience than what we are used to but the staff were nice & our room was very clean and warm!

We had such a lovely time at By the River! We did a couples massage at the 301, had a beautiful breakfast and the space is gorgeous. (Not to mention, the amazing bathtub). Thank you!

Beautiful old house but would be a warmer stay during the months outside winter. The hostess, Danielle, was excellent and helped us stay warm. Cancellations cannot be made after 72 hours before check-in. Is rather restrictive. We departed 1 day early, because it was too cold to downhill ski. Even though we departed at 9am, 1 day early, we had to pay for the not-used departure day. In hindsight, we should have stayed at a hotel. We would have not lost the $$

Beautiful. My room was large suite with great windows for lots of light. The decor was true to the origins of the house. I would recommend it to anyone

We so enjoyed how this property was fairly newly and tastefully renovated. Tho it may not be the most quiet (busy street) or convenient to downtown, it was comfortable! Beautiful surroundings, bed was great, and the breakfast very good. Danielle was an awesome host.

Television in room didn't work. No staff after hours to trouble-shoot. "Basic" room aptly described - very basic, dated furniture, no bathroom in room.

I had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before so I wasn't sure what to expect. As it turned out, it was a terrific choice. It was definitely not a cookie-cutter hotel room experience. The room and bathroom were very nice. The house itself had lovely common areas. The neighborhood was a little out of the way from downtown Fredericton, but not prohibitively so (only a 30 min walk). The area and house were very quiet at night; very relaxing experience overall. I would recommend.

By The River has been restored to its century old grandness. It is just an awe inspiring place to spend a night. The innkeeper was warm and friendly, great breakfast served in the grand dining room. Very special place, loved it.

The person that runs the place is a young woman. She is welcoming, helpfull and charming.
