Lo mejor es la ubicación. Rentamos una habitación individual por lo que la experiencia fue similar a un hotel, sencillo pero cumplió su objetivo. Excelente opción si no deseas gastar demasiado en el hospedaje.

Great stay

Rooms were a tad small but perfect for what I needed. There was a cockroach in the hallway by the cats. Bathrooms are tiny and low water pressure. But overall it wasn’t horrible

The room was in fairly good condition and the staff were friendly upon arrival. The location was great and easily accessible from Waterfront skytrain station. One issue I encountered was the noise from the bar downstairs. The bass carries through the floor, making it impossible to sleep prior to 2 am. I was also surprised by the fact that I was not allowed to have visitors in my private room. A friend came by to wait with me while I got ready to go out, and the front desk worker informed me that he was allowed to come up to my room, but later agreed to it. About half an hour later, however, the worker came to my room and knocked on my door and once again said my friend needed to leave. I have never paid for a room in a hotel, etc where I was not permitted to have a guest inside, and I really don't understand the logic. It was off-putting, especially since my friend was only waiting for me to get ready so that we could leave. If I had known of this policy, I would have paid the extra money for a regular hotel.

Clean room and amenities, very convenient when you are visiting Vancouver

The Cambie Hostel in Gastown offers what travelers on a budget are looking for: a safe, warm place to sleep, a hot shower, a place to store/cook food & eat, laundry facilities, a couch to lounge on. Its proximity to the Skytrain/downtown are the trade-off for bar's loud music & old building. I think it's well worth it. I would suggest visitors bring earplugs & an open mind. It's not a hotel and it doesn't claim to be - it's an affordable, safe way to visit an amazing city.

직원들이 친절해요! 위치도 최고! 건물이 정말 오래되어서 소음이나 냄새는 심할 수 있지만, 청소는 직원분들이 매일 하셔서 깔끔합니다. 1층에 있는 심바, 사과덕에 힐링하고 갑니다.

Clean room and facility. Friendly, helpful staff

La personne en service pour récupérer les clés m'a dit que c'était ok si je rendait la chambre avec 20min de retard puis n'a finalement pas voulu me rendre la caution des clés à 11h15. Avant un vol à prendre je n'ai pas pu réclamer cette faute.

The music was so loud downstairs untill 3am

This hostel is one of the most disgusting places I have ever been. The floors have a thick layer of grime, the common area couches and chairs are stained and reek of cat pee, the washing machines are mouldy, the bathrooms are dirty and hard to use, and the fridge was filled with rotting food left by previous guests. The place smells HORRIBLE, it is grease layered on top of every food smell layered on top of cat pee layered on top of the thickest must that could only have been caused by a severe rodent infestation. There were nests of dust and lint in corners, most likely caused by mice. I checked in at 3pm, showered and washed my clothes, and then realized I could not possibly be able to sleep in this place. I would have rather slept on a park bench. I left that same night at around 9pm and found another place to stay. I felt so gross after being at this hostel that I showered AGAIN after I left and rewashed my clothes at a laundromat. The service here is horrible and the manager needs a serious reality check. A child could do his job better than him. I was only refunded a portion of what I paid to be here, which is fine but I was offered no apology and was spoken to in a very demeaning manner. When I told him he could do better, he said some nonsense about Vancouver being the most expensive city in the world. I dont believe that is true, and even if it was it does not excuse running a business that puts customers in a place that may damage their health.

El personal fue muy amable, me trataron bien, las camas eran cómodas.

毎日のように1階のバーで、大サウンドでライブを行なっています。大体1時か2時までやってます。 ベッドが低音で振動するくらいの大きさで、宿泊者のことなど、一切気にしていません。 色々なhostelに泊まりましたが、一番ひどかったです。

Awesome!

Likely my own fault fo lack of preparedness, but even with ear plugs sleep was completely impossible due to the incredibly loud music. The walls were vibrating and it felt like we were in the bar itself. Would not recommend unless you are a night owl.

Great service

Can't beat the location for the price. Music can be loud late on the weekends but it didn't disturb my sleep. Great staff, room was clean.
