Lovely Room

Very comfortable bedroom and desk Laundry included

I want to be refunded my money. I felt like I was staying over a university mate's room for the night. Two single beds were placed tightly in the room and were advertised as being two double beds. The room is located in a finished basement with no egress window to the outside. Oddly enough a window was installed that faces the hallway in the basement. The curtain hangs off a broken curtain rode which I had to fix because it snapped on me as I was making the bed. The light fixtures had no bulbs in them and there is a significant tear in the carpet. The room could use a new paint job because near the door the paint was peeling off the wall. The bathroom is a mess. My wife, her son, and I opted not to take showers because the bathroom was a shared space amongst students who were living at the house in which this "lovely room" was advertised at. Overall experience is that I'm greatly disappointed with Expedia not investing this property before including it as part of its list of "recommended" hotels and etc. Very disappointing.

The property is great for travellers wanting to stay close to parks and great restaurants in the city. The room is clean and well set up.

Walkable but in a suburb, so not that close to downtown or harbour board walk. Quiet dark room.. good bed. House has no towels. Nice sitting room. Could not accommodate early check-in so if you take the red eye from YYC, you need another place to hang out.

The upstairs with the kitchen and living room, as shown in the pictures, was not offered to use when I got there, just the basement The floor upstairs has little or no insulation, and the child upstairs can be heard yelling and running around all times of the day There is a shared fridge/freezer to use, as well as a washroom My room had two double beds crammed in a tiny space There was no airflow or ventilation in the room, or an a/c or heater to control the temperature There is only one light source, a two bulbed lamp with only one bulb working In the ceiling there are lights but all of them are burnt out I wouldn’t normally give a bad review, or use my time to do this , I just sleep here and am not super picky But on my last day, my alarm went off and I sat up in bed to turn it off A mouse ran down my leg!! What a way to wake up I looked down by the edge of the wall and there was clearly visible mouse droppings Leaving this review to save the next person from having to stay in such a dirty and unkept rental place

Cleanliness was disappointing. More secure door needed to room. Fitted sheets would be helpful for bed to avoid sheets coming off and sleeping on mattress. Lighting poor in room and electrical setup with extension chord questionable.

A little dusty. Hard time comunication with the owner (chineas)

Shared bathroom dirty. Shower was probably not cleaned in the last month. Just terrible experience.

Everything on this place very bad and disgusting, #1- the room in the basement, this is first bad thing and every thing smells bad start from bed, blanket and pillows are like dogs urine on them. #2- Bath-room unbelievable, specially the sink i prefer to dont write that. Because i won't you get vomit. #3- price it cost me around $87, so around $100 i can go to a good hotel with free breakfast at lease. Last message, i dont understand why did a renter give to this place name " Lovely Room " he should label it " Worst dirty room you gonna see in your live "

Amazing location for doing your own walking tour of the city and farmers market but if you are looking for a party room this is not for you.

The good: - owners are very nice - quiet neighborhood - close-ish to downtown - separate door to access the basement with code - budget option The bad: - 3 rooms are rented (all in the basement) so you could have unrespectful (+also sharing the bathroom) - no window in the room we had - bad smell of humidity was floating around - room is very basic, not very comfortable - no a/c

it’s quiet and clean, just a little farther than my imagining about walking distance from train station to there.

The location is convenient and people are friendly.

Comfortable stay, great value for money! The owner was very gracious. He not only upgraded my room to a better one for free when I booked an additional night but also allowed me to check out late. Overall, very good experience.

My Daughter likes trains and there was a nice clear view of one from the back yard so that was a plus for her.
