Super 8 by Wyndham Red Deer

The room was dirty. Lights switch and walls had black marks from dirty hands. Toilet had with scum/foam which did look like any cleaning products. The floor had hair and visible dirts. The carpet also had food and dirty in them. The bedding was visibly dirty - white sheet clearly showed the dirt on them along with the top blanket. We slept fully clothed and used our own shirts to cover the pillows. Sticky hand prints on the tables and desk. Garbage left in the room. Informed the front desk of a fight between a parent and child - mother was screaming and swearing at her child along with loud hitting noise. When we inform the staff the state and I quote “oh ya it’s a family that’s dealing with a trouble teen. It’s been an ongoing problem”. When asked what they have done nothing was the answer. The kid screaming wasn’t a teen but a child between the age of 8-10. Finally one of the workers went up to the room only because I was calling the police for help since they clearly stated it was a continuous issue - child abuse is never acceptable and not something I will I will stay quiet about no matter what your culture is and yes the workers did use that as an excuse! We will never stay there again and will not be recommending this place to anyone! Such a same for a Super 8

I don't think I have ever stayed at a hotel that badly kept ever. Run a freaking vacuum around once in a while. The guy at the front desk was more interested in talking to his friends on the phone than working the front counter.

The worst place I have ever stayed. Filthy. Ring of scum around tub. Baseboard,around toilet,microway,doors so dirty. Light fixtures missing. Curtains on backwards. To call this place a dive would be a compliment. Oven filthy. I could go on but I think I made my point. It seems there have been many complaints but no changes. We will not be coming back.

Friendly staff but the hotel itself was outdated and very dirty. There were blood splatters all over the room in different places. The bathtub had chips out of it and was on a slant. I had to keep the curtains closed because there was such a cold draft coming from the patio doors. The walls were paper thin. I was waken up at 3:30am by the neighbours next door talking and laughing. Karaoke on sat night was so loud it sounded like it was in my room. I could hear conversations of people outside because the patio door is old and needs to be replaced. There was someone outside my room door in the hallway charging some sort of power tool at 10pm with their hood over their head. Sketchy to say the least.

This hotel is good if you need to crash for 1 night, it is more for those who want to work there and rent on a monthly basis. Not the cleanest but cheap. staff is friendly and do there best to help. probably wont stay again but you get what you pay for. NOT SURE HOW THEY ARE ON EXPEDIA!

Cold was coming inside room from outside balcony area

I was feeling uncomfortable when I arrived at the room, so I asked to change rooms. The guy at the front desk told me they were fully booked and had no free rooms available. After I settled in and turned on the heater, I discovered it was broken. When I reported it, the same guy at the front desk wasn't able to fix it, but miraculously a room became available on the next floor and I was moved into it. It was a long and stressful evening/night .

Rooms need work but the prce and saff make it worth it.

Room was not cleaned for 6 days , guy died in the hotel while I was staying there, management wasn’t helpful during the whole ordeal. Terrible hotel, would not recommend to my worst enemy.

The room and hotel in general were so filthy. Bedding was clean so that was a plus, and for just needing a place to lay your head for a cheap price, it did the job…but ick! Lots of sketchy characters wandering inside and outside the property. Definitely would never take my kids there. But like I said, if you just need a cheap place to sleep for the night, it will do.

We booked a room last minute due to a good deal. They gave us a different room than booked, there were some stains/splashed something (appeared washable) on the walls, room smelled heavy of dust, and when we moved the pillows there were bed bugs. Definitely seemed not clean. The staff were helpful and understanding so they get a 5/5 star but the facility itself was yuck.

The room was clean. I booked a kitchenette and they have a full fridge and stove but it’s not usable without pots/pans/silverware/dinnerware. You don’t expect to have to bring your own in order to be able to make use of the kitchenette. There also wasn’t a coffee maker. They don’t even have facecloths so had to wash with a hand towel.

Keyless remote doesn't work, tried many times by guess service with many cards and doesn't work so they have to use key to open the door.

Worst hotel I have ever been in. Dirty ( Brown spot and bloodstained) everywhere: bed, doors and walls. Never been cleaned while I was there. I had to clean my own room. Door lock was broken and they never repaired it for my entire stay so my door never locked (not safe at all). I suspect bed bugs. I had to desinfect all my stuff going back home because my skin was full of bed bugs bite. Even if I was paid to stay there, I don't think I would do it. I want a refund for this horrible stay. This hotel looks like a class action lawsuit in coming.

You get what you pay for. We’ve been in some shady motels and had no problems. But this stay? We barely even brought our stuff into the room. It was dirty, the mirror had spatter on it, I found a liquor cap on the ground and two hair ties near the bed. The bathroom was filthy too. We ended up leaving and booking elsewhere, I was scared we’d get bed bugs with how filthy the whole motel was! I’d give zero stars if I could

It's obvious that they're in the process of upgrading the property. That said, there's a long way to go. The bed was the only clean thing in the room. Unfinished paint and drywall in the suite. Not likely to go back.

Sketchy place and dirty balcony. Cigarette and weed smell. Run down place. As soon as we got in the room, we left and checked out 30 minutes later.

Good stay

We didn’t stay!!!!! Staff said they had refunded the money but it never showed up on our credit card as refunded. Was disgusting dirty and someone doing drugs in hallway, and people fighting outside the front door. Wasn’t even vacuumed. Stunk like feces. Beyond gross
