Travelodge by Wyndham Swift Current

Staff was very nice. But the room was dingy, there was no smoke detector on the wall where it should be just the wires hanging out and the radiator did not work so there was a portable heater plugged in. The continental breakfast was severely lacking, it was essentially toast, two types of cereal and yoghurt. Not the normal continental breakfast that you expect from most hotels.

Pool was closed due to an ongoing roofing problem! The breakfast was a cold breakfast, I was expecting a hot breakfast ! I tried to toast some bread and the power bar tripped! No toast for me ! There must be a heating problem in the room as there was a ceramic heater in the room !

For a 2 star hotel the beds were great.

Property looks abandoned and in need of major repairs. Beds were saggy and not confortable. Rooms were dated and falling apart. Breakfast was warm yogurt and coffee.

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at. Website advertised pool and hot tub. Both were closed. Website advertised restaurant on site. It was closed, only open for breakfast at 6:30 am. Breakfast was so basic they shouldn’t be able to use the word breakfast in it. Bed was so terrible and had a big sag in middle and pillows were rock hard. Rooms are in desperate need of repair and update. This hotel is an embarrassment to the Wyndham name brand. Shameful really. It explains why there were only 4 cars in parking lot.

Veey welcoming and friendly staff. The room was clean and thr beds were very comfortable. A great stay and i will be back.

Elevator to the 2nd floor would be an improvement.

Very old type room with tiny tv and a not great shower. Felt like we went back in time. Amenities also not so great.Totaly not what we were expecting. But the counter clerk was exceptional. I would absolutely recommend this place. It was clean for sure.

The room was clean and the staff were outstanding and quick to respond but there were limits as to what they could do. It was obvious that the hotel had been closed for a considerable time but that the owner/staff were trying to bring it back up to Travelodge standards but there were a number of issues. The fact that the restaurant and the swimming pool were closed with little or no apparent action on re-opening them was disappointing but not critical. The room had clearly been refurbished inside BUT at least a couple of issues remained. The front door closed with a significant gap between it and the frame that allowed the wind to blow into the room and the heat to escape. The room was freezing - but the staff provided two space heaters to try to keep their guest (me) from freezing to death (only a slight exaggeration). In fact the window air conditioner, which I am sure is useful in the summer, was not properly installed and sealed and an even stiffer cold wind howled into the room next to the air conditioner. The gap also afforded a steady stream of "maple bugs" easy access to the room. With the heaters and much stomping on bugs, I survived the night.

Bugs the second we walked in

The hotel is an older building but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The rooms were equipped with a keurig coffee maker, a microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and service oriented. I would stay there again.

I checked into the property at 11:30 PM and was planning on leaving at 6 AM. I was in room 116. The room beside me was revolving door for the 4 1/2 hours that I was there. They were constantly pulling up outside of my window, leaving their vehicles running, exiting their vehicles and going in and out of the neighbouring room. The lights from the vehicles illuminated from that I was staying in. I have no idea what was happening in the room next to me. At 4 AM I gave up on trying to sleep and left. The property was absolutely decrepit. Im all of my travels I have never seen hotel in such ill repair. There were different types of bugs in the bathtub, the sink, and on the floor. There were two different types of bugs. I am praying that none of them were bedbugs. There were holes in the ceiling. The bathroom was mouldy and literally falling apart. When I got into the room, the second door that led into the hallway was unbolted. If I hadn’t checked it, it would’ve would’ve been opened all night. I have never seen hotel so filthy and rundown. I would not recommend anyone ever stay there.

There were lots of maple bugs in our room. We killed 5 bugs and had a hard time sleeping. Apparently, maple bugs are common for this time of year (the fall) I would have liked to know this in advance as i wouldnt have booked. Staff was friendly and kind tho. Room was dingy and the tv didnt work

The hotel is very run down and in need of repair. Parking lot was loud all night and not in the best area. The thermostat was broken in our room and no way to turn it down. Heat was full blast and we had a horrible sleep.

It would be nice to get the restaurant running

Very few outlets in the room for phone charging. Hair dryer plug was questionable, with exposed wire into the plug. Cracked/heaving concrete sidewalk outside the rooms.

For the price it’s good. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. It is a modest continental breakfast but it works. I’d stay there again.
