Lodge Ancar Atacama

We had a pleasant stay at this cabin in the Atacama Desert. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made the experience feel very welcoming. The cabin itself is cozy, but be aware that it doesn’t have air conditioning. During the day, the temperature inside can get extremely hot, especially under the desert sun. Additionally, the windows don’t have bug screens, so insects can easily get in if you open them for ventilation.

Uma grata surpresa em São Pedro. Propriedade muito bem cuidada, chalés confortável e bem equipados, equipe muito solícita e simpática, e com localização numa área tranquila, a 10 min de caminhada do centrinho.

Lo mejor del hotel es Andrés, una persona extremadamente amable, siempre pendiente, realmente espectacular. El es el.encargado de todo en el.hotel. El hotel lo veo conveniente solo si uno desea cocinar, hacer parrillada , ya que cuenta con un parrillas individuales y una cocina bien equipada. En mi caso que salia a las actividades todos los dias temprano no hice uso de la cocina. El hotel queda a unos 15 min del centro, casi todos los tours terminan en la Calle Caracoles, por lo que resulta cansado regresar al hotel cansado de un dia de tour. Cerca del.hotel no.hay restaurantes, por lo que en la noche hay que salir a comer al centro y son otros 10 a 15 minutos de ida y otros 15 de vuelta. Las calles son llenas de polvo en San Pedro, por lo que caminar a veces no resulta agradable. El.hotel no tiene restaurante, asi que para comer o hay que cocinar (lo cual es dificil.si uno sale a los tours) o sino caminar cansados al centro .

Terrific stay. Great for families. Andres, the property manager is super nice and very helpful. Easier if you can speak a bit of Spanish but not necessary. The cabins are all very well equipped if you want to cook. And the whole family loved the giant St. Bernard on the property who would come out to greet you everyday.

Lodge Ancar is quiet and calm. Nearby to Caracoles. The manager is so attentive and kind. However, there is no air conditioner and Atacama gets very hot.

Andres, the property manager, and Lucas, the resident Saint Bernard, were extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. The property was perfect for my family -- refreshing pool to use and hammocks in the shade. Location was ideal as we could walk all over san pedro in a matter of minutes. Would highly recommend this lodge!

Andres was extremely helpful and an amazing host. He was available for any and all things.

Andres, the property manager, couldn’t have been nicer and ready to help. The hotel is walking distance from the center of town, and it was very doable, and very comfortable. We were greeted by Andres and a lovely, dopey St. Bernard named Lucas. Our cabin had two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. It was great to be able to hold our snacks and food in a large refrigerator. I am a huge believer in solid customer service, and I am grateful to those who go above and beyond expectations. The property has a swimming pool, but it is not heated, so even in summer, it is meant for those who appreciate a refreshing swim. It was too cold for me though. What I appreciated the most, was to be able to come back at the end of the day to a tranquil oasis to rest and relax. It was a lovely stay and I would recommend it to anyone who either is coming to visit with family or is not seeking to party till the wee hours of the morning. It is quiet and pleasant, and I liked that very much.

Extremely safe, quite, clean and comfortable. The administrator went out of his way to take care of all of our needs in the lodge and around San Pedro de Atacama. Our family enjoyed the pool!

Well kept and efficiently run bungalows in a gated compound. Andreas, the Manager was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Great base from which to explore San Pedro and surrounding area. Would recommend.

Andres was the only staff we had contact with and he was absolutely fabulous. He gave us great information about sites we wanted to see and anticipated our every need. Convenient location for walking to town and very nice pool area. Cabins were comfortable for our family of four.

Em San Pedro do Atacama, os hotéis ou são muito simples ou são luxuosos. O Lodge Ancar é um dos raros "meio termo" entre esses extremos, sendo uma boa opção principalmente se você viajar em família, possuindo uma cozinha completa. Destaque para os funcionários da recepção, que são muito atenciosos, como destacados em outras avaliações. Outro ponto de destaque é a limpeza: impecável. Excelente custo-benefício.
