The family that ran it were all all very kind and helpful. They made us coffee early , provided secure parking, and helped with moving our cars. They also accommodated our very late arrival. It was a lovely place to begin our adventure.

It's my go to spot for my flights in and out of SJO. The room is always clean... New pillows, clean white linen, great air conditioning. Shuttle is always prompt and the family is wonderful. They are going through some site improvements but it didn't impact my stay.

We had an super early flight, the guy gave us a ride to the airport at 3:45 am. That was unbelievable!!! Super nice and friendly people just for that ride if I could I will gave the 20 stars.

$28 a night less than a mile from the airport was perfect! The free breakfast surpasses any hotel breakfast I have ever had. The rooms are clean the air conditioner works the showers work and the towels are clean. They do have 3 or 4 cats onsite but they did not affect my cat hair allergy.
The road noise and air plane noise is rather loud but generally lessens to a manageable level by night time. The restaurant closes at 10 but I did not have any issues with noise from there.
The people that run the place are great and will drive you to and pick you up from the airport. They speak enough English to communicate.
I will definitely stay here again if I come back you cannot beat the value.

Great staff, good communication, quick airport pickup and drop off, good food and drinks available onsite, comfortable bed and air conditioning. Unfortunately the plumbing in my bathroom sink and shower was bad. I couldnt get the hot water in the shower to work and it was too early in the morning to get help. And the sweet kitties on the property yowling at night and the planes overhead made for difficult sleeping. Positives and negatives. Great price, though.

Free breakfast off the menu of the restaurant it's part of and closeness to airport is awesome when the plane and highway noises don’t bother you. It's somewhat buffered so I was able to sleep

I just stayed a night due flights arrangements, in general the staff was very kind, the food was great, they gave me a ride to the airport next morning.
In other hand, the place in general it’s too loud, just lots of exterior noises into the room, bathroom wasn’t clean, trash on the bin, used bar soap on shower, not ideal, front side of the room is glass, probably that’s why it’s loud, but late night staff was talking loud on the restaurant, and then suddenly they turned a very bright light on the corridor, so the whole room was illuminated, needed to come out to talk to the guys out there to reduce the voice level and to turnt light off. A very uncomfortable night.

Nice people but very disappointing accomodation, one of the worst Ive stayed in. Very noisey due to truck traffic and overhead jets. This is hotel, more like a bar/restaurant with a room attached. Only. highlight was a decent breakfast that was included.

everything was wrong. there was no airport shuttle service. no one at the airport or taxi driver knew of the rio2. total chaos after a 13 hour flight. room had NO HOT WATER, NO HEAT and was in poor condition. totally unacceptable. have relied upon hotel.com referrals to be of acceptable quality. this was NOT. hotel.com FAILED ME and making a poor impression to my good friends.
