L’emplacement près de la magnifique Playa Grande. Le resto : délicieux ! Les installations extérieures. J’ai moins aimé la chambre qui n’était pas à la hauteur pour ce prix. Très très basic.

Amazing for couples, surfers, singles and even families. Spacius, beautiful, friendly. Eat holiday ! The beach has THE most beautiful sunset we have seen in the world and we travel a lot. Really special.

If you're wanting to immerse yourself into the culture, then this is the place to stay. It has a jungle feel to the property along with some critters, I opened the door in the morning and a crab thought he could take me on. We loved Playa Grande and will definitely go back!!

The staff is awesome, the property and room are good for the price. My only complaint is the noise. Because the property is older, made of wood and there is humidity, one can hear creaking from neighboring rooms when people are walking around. Not a big deal during the day but if one's neighbor stays up late or rises early, there is no sleep. Bring earplugs :)

Excellent location near the beach and two outstanding restaurants. Pleasant and accommodating staff. Good shower and AC. However, our room was a big disappointment. Walls and ceiling were dark and made of plywood. Seemed cheaply made. So-called kitchen consisted of a plank counter, tiny sink, one-cup coffeemaker, antique refrigerator. No chairs except for backless bar stools. No dining table. Overpriced for the quality of accommodations.

Its a very quiet chill place to hang out for a couple nights. Rooms are small and simple but your close to an AMAZING empty beach, good surf for the experienced. Great pool to cool off, market and resturants near by, or just eat and drink at the hotel with owners and staff, all very Fruendly!

Stayed here for a two week surf trip, and the service was great. The manager was very nice, and was always around to help us out.

I enjoyed my time at Sugar Monkey. It has a fun bar, hangout area, and pool. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room itself was clean and came with A/C. Although the bed was not very comfortable. The hotel is very close to playa grande, within walking distance.

Great stay at Sugar's Monkey!! The hotel staff here is very welcoming and fun to talk to. I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel bar & food was excellent, they have delicious brick oven pizza! The hotel was easy to get too, and is only a 2 minute walk down a short path to the beach. I really did have an amazing stay here in Playa Grande! You can also rent Surf Boards directly from the hotel for $10 / day, you can't beat it! The hotel itself is small, only about 8 rooms. Rooms were clean and tidy, but not a ton of thrills. It's a great spot to catch some waves and sun, away from the more touristy Tamarindo. I'd 100% go back again!

It was a great stop on our adventure. The beach was nice and clean. Tamarindo is just a short walk.

Stayed one night. Pretty secluded but right next to the beach. Hotel staff was excellent, property was pretty, well maintained. The beds were very small and not comfortable. Still a good place to stay for surfers

On a ADORÉ tout simplement je conseil à tous ! L'hotel est propre et beau La piscine est bien faite Le concept surf, bar restaurant, hotel et merveilleux Un grand choix de plat et tout les special du jour sont bons ! Ils on même une tAble de pool Ils offrent plusieurs activité sur place et ont même une van pour les plus grands trip Des skates dans le coin enfant imaginez ! Les propriétaires sont charmants et très fins !

Beautiful location right next to the beach. Lovely staff. Great food! Very nice communist space! Will definitely be back!
