Not very good the breakfast was really bad

Not a clean room, filled with bugs, lizards and cockroaches. Breakfast was terrible with no choices, coffee was weak. I ate breakfast at a nearby cafè instead. Room was small, hot and loud as hell. No service at all. You check in with a key code and it dosen’t work properly. They will charge you extra for everything you can think of, even beach towels. The bed was big but filled with bugs…

This place was so bad when we arrived just after midnight I had to spend the next 2 hours dealing with Expedia trying to get someone to fix our room. One of the beds had blood stains and other stains on the sheets. There was black mold coming from around the ceiling light and the shower tile was all busted up in the shower. There was no baseboard and there were huge cracks between the wall and floor. There was a cockroach in the room and it smelled like mold. I sent a message via WhatsApp to person overseeing the property and they responded way late. There was supposed to be an included breakfast in the mornings so I walked down to talk with that person to try and resolve the issue. No one was there. I recontacted Expedia and they were not able to get a hold of anyone from the property. Luckily I was able to book somewhere right in that area that was much better for me and my family. Stay away. This place has lots of potential but looks like the owners have let it turn into an absolute dump.

Rooom was ok, fridge no tv. Staff was ok. Communication before checkin was poor. Many guests did not receive room and door codes before arriving. After you manage to get in your room things are ok. Breakfast is the same every morning.

Surf Ranch Tamarindo was an amazing experience. The attention from the ladies who take care of the cleaning and breakfast is truly unique — their dedication and willingness to help with anything you need is surprising in the best way, something you don’t see very often. The manager was also very kind, and the explanation of the check-in process was clear and perfect. Breakfast time is so friendly and cozy that it feels less like a hotel and more like staying in a family home. The location is perfect, right in front of the ocean. Tamarindo is already beautiful, but this place makes it even more special.

It was a great stay overall! While it isn’t necessarily oceanfront, it’s across the street from the beach! Very convenient location at the beginning of the strip in Tamarindo. It’s a laidback simple living type of vibe and the breakfast is great and filling. Be sure to read the “check in” email because otherwise it will be confusing as it is a self check in system but there are also people at the hotel who will gladly help you out if you have any questions! I like that it’s not smack in the middle of everything because weekends especially get louder and busy so we aren’t merged into all that but it is surrounded by shops hotels restaurants markets etc… it’s a short 9 min walk to the main hub of beachfront restaurants and gift shops of tamarindo beach so very easy to get around and learn the streets. The staff are sweet and I would stay there again.

This place is what it is - a cheap convenient place in Tamarindo right across from the Beach. I had to last minute book this place because my plans changed. Got to my room and the water pressure was 1/10 and not hot. I sat in the room for about an hour to cool off from the day and tried the shower again and still nothing. The room itself is basic, one bedsheet had a big stain. I ended up just leaving and not staying there. I decided I would rather drive back to Liberia and get a real hotel room before my flight the next day than stay here. What's good about this place? The location is good, the common areas inside seemed pretty good - seemed quiet. Overall a very 5/10 place. I was there during the peak of rainy season and the "off season" so maybe quality and service is better when it's much busier.

Wer ein günstiges Hotel sucht einfach nur zum übernachten der ist hier richtig. Abgesehen von der Kakalake ist es sauber aber alt und verkommen. Vom Preis her war auch nicht mehr zu erwarten.

Siempre es un dolor de cabeza el check-in, ya está fue la segunda vez que me hospedo en este hotel, y si no es por la ayuda de otros huéspedes, no hubiera podido hacer el ingreso. La administración alega que solo con personas que reservan por medio de esta app tienen problemas…

Its a great place to stay close to the beach.

We booked the room for a week, and made other arrangements after 2 nights, without even asking about a refund as it was listed as non-refundable for any reason and there was no reason to think they would be understanding about anything. Tried to fully explain here but only allowed so many characters in this review. In conclusion, do yourself a favor and find much better accommodations nearby for similar rates.

It was very hard to get into the hotel. If other visitors that were staying on the hotel didn’t help me, I could easily sleep on my car the first night. The other visitors gave me the number of the administration and by WhatsApp I received the check in instructions. I didn’t receive any mail with the passwords of the self check in. Also the amount of breakfast was too little, and with only one egg.

Make sure you have your check-in code before you arrive. The rooms are new, clean, and safe. Staff are all gone by 3pm every day.

Good location but pretty pricey for what you are getting. Overall expensive town though and can’t complain

location is great, breakfast is simple but good. don’t take room 9(double double bed), it’s to close from the road and has bad isolation.also not a real outside window, Chilling spot to small Room was cleaned every day👌 Good place to be if you only plan about sleeping at the hotel

The convenience to restaurants and shopping and the beach. All within an easy walk.

Great Surfing

After my booking i became codes to access. So far so good. But after putting in the code there was no key in the keybox. Owner tried to fool me on the next day why if i didnt like the room and that he will only refund money if i wont write a negative review. Of course that didnt happen. Avoid that place if you dont want support scammy hotel places without any capable employers
