Very friendly host

The location is great, our rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating - and they really went above and beyond when we decided to add an additional night, completely handling the move for us to an available accommodation. Of course, the stairs are tough but that's part of the charm of Old Towns - just something to take into consideration.

I would 100% recommend Heritage Hotel Dea in Hvar! It was a beautiful ancient building that was modernly updated and stylishly decorated with beautiful flooring, tiles and quality linens. The breakfast was amazing. The breakfast courtyard was adorable. The staff was accommodating and friendly as we started our day there. The quality of the food was outstanding for a free breakfast l. It was a very enjoyable part of the day. The location was amazing, incredibly close to the water and restaurants were everywhere you turned! All staff members were super helpful and friendly! Amazing stay!

I booked this room with my partner as a last minute switch-up to extend our trip to Hvar by another night. You can reach the hotel in 2-3 minutes from the port. There are around 20-30 steps, however, so it’s worth keeping in mind if you have heavy luggage. The hotel offers luggage assistance if needed. The location is very equitable for those looking to spend their time in Hvar’s town center. It’s a short walk to the Pjaca and the area is full of different food, coffee, and other shops. We arrived at Heritage Hotel Dea Hvar early from our previous booking and several hours ahead of check-in. The staff was fully accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags safely secured in the lobby and enjoy the day at the beach. Check-in is quick and clear. You will take a few steps to reach your room. The rooms are clean and cozy. The window provides an intimate view of nearby rooftops and a sliver of the Hvar Riva & marina water. The bathroom was sleek and modern, and (most importantly) clean. The curtains are a bit wonky and hang a few inches from the window - easily rectified if you are someone who needs to sleep in total darkness. There is a small sense the check-in desk is in earshot - worth noting if privacy in volume is a high priority for you. We were entirely unaffected. We were informed that a staff member is on duty at the check-in desk through the night. Our ferry to Split was at 7:50a and we had no issues checking out at 7a. Overall fantastic - wish it was longer.

Highly recommend this hotel. The property is tucked away in a quiet, charming neighborhood, offering a peaceful retreat while still being just a short walk from wonderful local restaurants and the historic old city sights. The rooms are comfortable and well cared for, and the atmosphere feels both welcoming and authentic. Mia is an exceptional hostess whose pride in the family inn is evident in every detail, from the way she shares stories of what was once her family home to the genuine care she shows her guests. Her warmth and hospitality make the stay feel less like a hotel visit and more like being welcomed into a family home.

Great location a few steps from the waterfront and very close to downtown restaurants and shops. Room was clean and comfortable. Only issue is you have to walk up some stairs to get to the hotel and that can be a challenge with bags. But that is practically the case with every hotel in town.

This is a really great little hotel. Perfect location, walkable to everything. The manager met us at the ferry and carried our bags up to the hotel( loads of stairs). The breakfast was made to order with many options and was delicious. The staff were all hard working and helpful. The room was smaller but very clean and had a view of the water! Would definitely recommend while staying in Hvar.

The hotel staff greeted us upon our ferry arrival in Hvar. The guy was extremely friendly and helped carry out bags up a crazy amount of stairs to get to the hotel entrance. He also then delivered them to our room up more stairs after efficiently checking us in. Our room was very pretty and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was also nice.

Property was right in the center of town. It was very clean and charming. Breakfast was wonderful and very importantly the AC worked flawlessly.

Loved it! We were met at the ferry by Mate, who must be the strongest man in Hvar. He carried our heavy cases all the way ti our room on top floor - thank you! The hitel is compact but beautifully appointed. Our room was comfortable, good sized bed and excellent aircon. Breakfast was exceptional.

The staff was absolutely superb and went out of their way with recommendations, restaurant suggestions (relative’s new dockfront Aria restaurant was excellent). We usually stay at boutique hotels and this ranks amongst the best in our significant experience. Thankfully this hotel (and Hvar in general) has not gotten the ‘attitude’ common in so many others.
