Tiendegaarden

The room did its job where it housed us for the night but it was a bit dirty with cob webs and spiders.

Tiendegaarten was a perfect place for us to decompress after a few busy days in Copenhagen. Susanne’s family has owned the land for over 100 years and the love and care of the place shows. It’s a heavenly place to watch the stars and enjoy the quiet. There are plenty of books, blankets, seating areas, and a delicious breakfast basket available upon request. We loved exploring all of Møn and were so grateful to have found this lovely space to rest at night.

I’ll start with the positives and say that we slept great, the showers were hot, the grounds were charming, and we learned a few things about Danish culture. A few negative aspects of the experience- When we booked there was no mention of linens not being included in the booking until after the cancellation window had passed. Not only did we each have to pay extra for linens but we also had to make our own beds… we learned this is not uncommon in ‘budget’ accommodations in Denmark but we were not expecting to pay for linens and make our own beds at a bed and breakfast. Not something I want to be doing after a long day of traveling. In all my years of traveling, and working in hospitality, I have never encountered a place where I pay to make my own bed. The host was not entirely welcoming either. Although I slept well I would likely not stay here again. I did appreciate the dark sky spaces for clear nights… would be a nice spot to catch a meteor shower….. if you have your own linens.

The location was good for our cycling route. The main issue we had was that the posted rate didn't include an extra cost for towels and linens, and the information about this extra cost wasn't sent until the cancellation deadline had passed. With few accommodation options in the area, it was too late to look elsewhere. The room was nice and the farm was lovely -- peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was good and cutely presented in a basket, but we had to make our own coffee and do all the dishes after. On holiday I don't really want to do that extra work when I've paid for breakfast. Also I'm terrible at making coffee (getting the measurements right) and as predicted, I did it wrong, so we didn't enjoy our coffee. A thermos of coffee in the breakfast basket would have been much appreciated. I understand that this isn't a typical hotel and that European travellers can bring extra stuff, but the basic information about the towels/linens should be posted if advertising on Expedia where international travellers are most likely to look. We were on a bike trip so clearly we weren't going to bring linens from Canada and haul them all over Germany and Denmark :)

Very nice place to stay

We had a lovely, if short, stay at this beautiful property. Everything is in great condition and the breakfast was excellent. We would love to stay here again sometime.

Schöne ruhige Lage

Utrolig sød vært, meget smukke omgivelser. Alt var rent og lækkert. Morgenmadskurven jeg tilkøbte var virkelig lækker.

Vi havde den bedste oplevelse af opholdet på Tiendegaarden. Et meget personligt sted i rolige omgivelser. Vi boede på Dronningeværelset med et stort panoramavindue - lyst og indbydende med det store lysindfald. Det må være stedets absolut bedste rum 😁 Lækker morgenmad - alt i alt den bedste anbefaling.

Super hyggeligt ophold ude på landet. Et fantastisk sted med ro og orden. Alt var så rent og pænt. Flere gode spots i den kæmpestore have, hvor man kunne sidde og kigge ud over markerne. Der var også mulighed for at spille skak i haven.

På Tiendegaarden er der masser af plads ude som inde. Vi sad udendørs - forskellige steder - og spiste vores måltider, sådan at det passede med sol og vind. Alle steder med udsigt til grønne arealer, træer og blomster. Inde er der også god plads, mere end man kan forvente med B&B. Stedet ligger helt ugenert ift trafik, hvilket er en sjældenhed. Der er virkelig helt stille! Kun naturens lyde. Vi vil gerne komme igen!

Amazing hostess. Rooms are exactly as shown online. Breakfast baskets were delightful. We would highly recommend!

Good: -location, charming complex, landscape, personal service, breakfast basket Disappointed by: -beds not very comfy -no extra pillows -communication

Bodde tre nätter i rum med delat badrum och kök. Fungerade alldeles utmärkt då det endast var de 2 rum vi bodde i som delade badrum. Det fanns kyl att lägga in egen mat och dryck i till frukost och mat till kvällen. Fin trädgård med många sittplatser. Tiendergaarden var en bra utgångspunkt för våra 2 cykeldagar.
