โรงแรม Iberostar Selection Bávaro Suites - All Inclusive

Probably this is was my worst stay. We checked in at 4pm. When we came to our room - it wasn't ready and we had to wait for 30 minutes. We ordered a room with two beds (for me and my son) but instead we got a room with only one bed. The next day power on our room totally went out. Repair men were spent a whole day trying to fix this major problem. When they finally fixed a power we found out that Air Conditioner is NOT working. So. Half of the NEXT day repair men were trying to fix an air conditioner without any success, so we called to desk and requested a room change. They agreed to our request and asked us to be ready for pick up and transfer to a new room. We waited for 4!!! hours in a room, waiting for a transfer... Finally we got transferred to a new room, which had no problem, except one - staff mostly "forgot" to clean our room on a daily basis. How could all this happened? Iberostar Bavaro is a premium hotel. I was expecting at least a normal service, which we didn't receive at all. Very sad. Also. Please add more chairs near a pool. They were all occupied before 9:am. Our family was a loyal to your hotels in Dominican and Mexico (at least 15 stays in the last 15 years), but now we will think twice before we decided to go into any of your hotels again.

Olá. Nos dois primeiros dias e noites, o ar condicionado não funcionou e só voltou a funcionar no 3º dia a tarde. A comida é no máximo razoável, em alguns pouquíssimos momentos ultrapassando esta marca. Teve um dia que só consegui comer carne, por que o meu filho cedeu um pedaço de bife. O ar condicionado falhou também, pasmem, na última noite em que sairíamos no outro dia cedinho. Tivemos que abrir a porta da sacada e a janela de madrugada, pois o calor de fora estava mais fresco do que o calor dentro do quarto. O atendimento no geral não gostei muito, você fala com algum funcionário(a) e simplesmente eles viram a cara e saem de perto. Muito estranho. E em geral não tem a cara alegre. Em alguns restaurantes com reserva, a comida excede a quantidade desejada e em outros quase fica aquém. A praia tem muito sargaço e tem dia que eles recolhem, mas tem dias que não, tornando o acesso ao mar um desafio. Eles tem muitos carrinhos elétricos, mas eles circulam meio rápido demais entre os hóspedes que caminham pelos acessos. Acho que não pretendo repetir a experiência.

Os garçons não eram pró-ativos no atendimento. Tinha que implorar pra trazer algo. Os garçons ate eram mais simpáticos, mas as garçonetes eram bem antipaticas.

It was good hotel with perfect food, but not friendly stuff. All time I feel like they wait, when I move from hotel.

Unhappy workers, impolite “hola” when they walk by you. A slow service when you check in.

Awesome staff and really nice beach.

I loved t b e staff, the shows and the beach. The food was a little less tasty than i expected, and more music and activities would have been desirable. All in all it was a great resort.

The resort was large and very well maintained. We enjoyed the food and beverage. Grey in Guest Services and Mayelin at the pool bar were so wonderful. They really know what hospitality and service are and made our stay great.

Wonderful resort. Will come back!

Liked: -Beach is excellent, clear water, clean sand, beach gear, and bars for drinks and snacks. -Cafe. -Room service. -kids enjoyed the pools. -Room location, layout and its size. Disliked: Very limited lights in the room. Only 2 wall outlets and were not functioning. AC unit is very old and super noisy, specially at night Beds were not comfortable. Restaurants are always booked, we were not able to make any reservations, so food option for us was very limited to buffet (not too many options either) and two other restaurants were were not interested. Likely, food wasn't a big deal for us and we still enjoyed our time. Overall we would stay at the same hotel again.

Beautiful resort! Would have been a 5 star had we not had a couple of disappointing moments with a few members of staff. Would definitely visit again.

The property is beautiful. The food and service was excellent. The only thing that was awful was that all the pillows smelled like head sweat horribly. We had to ask for them to be changed. We have never experienced this problem.

I was looking at a few different resorts and decided on Iberorstar Selection. I'm going to use this review to dispell some of the negatives i read about in other reviews: 1 - Food - Better than expected. Lots of options. At lunch there was always pizza and burgers at the grill, a pretty legit salar bar (including stuff like beet hummus) a make your own taco bar and then some rotating stations. There were some different ceviches one day that were great. Paella was available at a lot of meals and it was also very good. We got dinner at Brave steakhouse one night and it was also good. 2 - Pool Not very crowded when we were there. No issues getting loungers. We spent a lot of time the quiet pool and bounced back and forth to the ocean. There are bars by the pool and i never had to wait for a drink. 3- Timeshare presentation. This was only brought up to me once and it was when i was looking to book the Monkeyland excursion. They said if i see the presentation i can get a voucher. I just told them i'm only here for a few days and want to maximize my beach and pool time and they left me alone. Just be firm. 4 - roaches/waterbugs - In 5 days one made its way into out room one time. To be expected in a tropical area. I will also note we did not eat or bring any food into our room. 5 - Vendors- There are some walking up and down the beach but they never bothered us or came up to our loungers. Overall my family and i were satisfied with this resort and would return.

This was our 3rd time back at the iberostar Bavaro suites. We love the food, the set up next to the beach and the staff. In my opinion you get a lot for your money at this resort. All of the restaurants that we went to had delicious food options and we were very happy. Please keep in mind that the clientele is international so there are things you may not typically have in the United states but there are many options. Italian and the steak house are the restaurants that they gave us reservations to. Mexican and French were open to all and we could not get into Japanese. The beach is gorgeous and we had no problems setting up under a hut every day. Vino was great, he brought drinks directly to us on the beach every day! We did not set up at the pool. However, I did noticed that the chairs were all full each day. Cons: Yes, as wonderful as this resort is, there are some things that may be a deal breaker for some. The most annoying thing in my opinion is that they make you sit down with a “concierge” to book all of your dinner reservations. Out of 6 nights we were only given reservations for Italian and steak house. Concierge will try to upsell and if you don’t want it you don’t get your dinner reservations. Room was clean and comfortable but probably in need of a renovation. We spend most of time on resort so we were not picky. Spa- we loved upgrading and using the sauna/steam and cold plunge daily. Gym= beautiful and new. Entertainment = not good but something to do.

Beautiful property, great location, great food. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We spent a nice week at this hotel and it was just fantastic. The grounds are green and luscious, very well taken care of. The villas are so close to the beach and the property is easily walkable. We always found many choices to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We do eat pretty healthy though, lots of fruit, vegetables and fish, the kids did find some fast food options too. We chose not to go to the restaurants and just use the buffet. The staff is so friendly, especially our servers Sofia and Yoselin, they made us feel welcomed and taken care of. The pools are clean and just beautiful, the kids spent majority of time there. The beach is just breathtaking, plenty of beach beds to choose from.

Otimo hotel, sou cliente da rede, e foi uma bela surpresa, a unica coisa que poderia melhorar é a disposiçao de trabalho dos funcionarios, alguns só melhoram se voce pegar uma gorjeta Mas o hotel em si, belissimo, otimas bebidas, tudo muito limpo e conservado, a alimentaçao é perfeita

Excelente estadia, com certeza recomendo e voltarei a rede Iberostar.

This is 5th time in Punta Cana and second time at this resort. It’s our favorite by far.

Quality of services has definitely declined in the last 3 stays at this resort. Absolutely horrendous.
