Great location for Reading festival, friendly staff

Central with off street parking, friendly welcome and well appointed room and quiet location. Only disappointment was no breakfast option.

The property was adequate for my needs and i would stay again but when driving in the surounding area parking is very limited and most roads are no entry or no left/right turn

Avoid if you can. Had no hot water. Was offer to go to a different room in the hotel to take a shower. Heating was very noisy. Room was dirty. No compensation given and no option to have a different room despite rooms being empty. Extremely disappointed

The recptionist had difficulty finding my booking which I had maade on the morning of the day I arrived. I was 'upgraded' to Room 1 on the ground floor which had a king size bed and a single crammed into the window space which prevented the bathroom door from opening fully. I had to ask for towels as there were non in the bathroom although I was told they should be in the cupboard. The room decor was a dingy brown colour with a brown carpet. It could do with an update! On a plus the bed was clean as was the bathroom. Tea and coffee were available in the room. There was an electric diffuser plugged into the wall which I switched off immediately as I don't like smells. It was impossible to lower the sound on the TV control.

Simple, efficient. Nice room. We only stayed one night, as it was a family party that we travelled to. Hotel seemed to be empty/almost empty when we stayed.

I arrive early and had a warm welcome. Unfortunately there was no breakfast available and the TV in the room was not working.

Stayed for one night while traveling on business. Room was great. Staff were really helpful.

I arrived in the early evening, I was greeted at the door, check-in was easy. I was upgraded to a deluxe suite as I was on my own and a double was booked. I was showed to my room and made sure my key card worked. The room was clean, the usual tea/coffee assortment and a kettle was there. The bathroom is small but what do you really need. It was clean and hot running water which is all I need. The bed was comfy, it was softer than I'm used to but slept quite well. The owner told me about the area and where to go to eat dinner. There is a road nearby that has lots of restaurants which was perfect.

Our stay was very good. They upgraded our rooms for free, the bed was very comfortable with high quality linin, tastefully decorated, good location with only a short drive to the city centre but best of all were the very friendly welcoming staff. We would certainly stay again.

No information on website to indicate bar/restaurant were closed only got that information after booking was made. We were required to give advanced notice of our arrival, the telephone number listed was tried but not recognised, we sent an email and received no reply, later found out the telephone lines had been damaged. It appears the main Hotel is closed and we were given a room in the rear annexe which was however clean and tidy.

Super friendly host, nice big rooms and spotless.

Average Overnight Stay, wouldn't rave about it nor complain about it. slightly overpriced.

Excellent service and support from staff. Would recommend.
