Wir haben dieses Hotel aufgrund der hier gezeigten Bilder gebucht, die zunächst einen guten Eindruck gemacht haben. Bei unserer Ankunft mussten wir jedoch feststellen, dass sich in unserem Zimmer Schimmel in den Ecken befand und ein entsprechender Geruch im Raum lag. Zudem war das Zimmer insgesamt nicht sauber (Flecken auf dem Bettbezug, dem Boden und den Wänden, sowie ein sehr unhygienischer Zustand im Badezimmer). Für uns war das so nicht zumutbar. Nach unserer Beschwerde wurde uns ein weiteres Zimmer gezeigt, das sich jedoch in einem ähnlichen Zustand befand. Auch ein drittes Zimmer, das uns anschließend angeboten wurde, entsprach leider nicht unseren Erwartungen an Sauberkeit und Zustand. Da wir unter diesen Umständen nicht bleiben wollten, haben wir uns entschieden, das Hotel wieder zu verlassen. Wir haben den Vorfall auch über Expedia gemeldet und um eine Rückerstattung gebeten, da die Unterkunft aus unserer Sicht nicht den dargestellten Standards entsprochen hat. Leider wurde diese Anfrage vom Hotel abgelehnt. Aus unserer persönlichen Erfahrung heraus würden wir dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen und raten, gegebenenfalls eine alternative Unterkunft in Betracht zu ziehen.

The staff were polite and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, the overall condition of the hotel felt like something out of the Upside Down or a low-budget horror film. Unfortunately, cleanliness appears to be a significant issues the floors did not seem to have been swept or mopped, and general hygiene standards were lacking throughout. Additionally, there was no hot water available from the tap, and the shower was in poor condition, with peeling surfaces and visible dirt with some much-needed maintenance and attention to cleanliness, this could be a far more pleasant place to stay on budget. .... if a partial refund or a voucher for a future stay cannot be arranged, I would suggest perhaps a little tongue-in-cheek—that a small gesture such as a gift card be provided so the hotel can invest in some basic cleaning supplies, like a mop, bucket, and a hoover.on a more serious note, I do believe some form of compensation would be appropriate given the condition of the facilities during my stay.

Worst hotel ever stayed in my life. Look checkin was told “your toilet is out of order”, and explanation was that “as you’ve ordered a basic room that’s why”. This is not my problem at all as the paying client. Also there was blood on douvet, asked for a new one.. nothing was done. To top it off the guy checking us in saying “you forgot to fill out the check in form, when it was him who forgot to hand us any form to fill in, in the first place. Unbelievable disgust.

Det var virkelig ikke særlig godt og levede ikke op til forventningerne. Der var ikke bad og toilet på værelset, det lå en trappe op for sig selv. Vandet og selve badeværelset var is koldt og toilettet kunne ikke skylle ud og var ved at rasle fra hinanden når man satte sig. Sengen på værelset var fjedre du lå på som stak op i ryggen, helt forfærdeligt

Great location. But the Berkeley is more of a hostel than a hotel. The room was dilapidated, pretty much everything was very old, peeling and stained. From bathroom, to door locks, to mattress. They seriously need to invest in some renovation. Staff was polite but then again, I never tested it them with a challenging situation as my room was pre-paid so all they had to do was give me the key. Will never stay again

The hygiene is terrible. The room doesn’t heat up. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

Absolutely horrible I do not recommend at all traumatised from my booking I didn’t even stay the night because of how bad it was. Do not book!

Awful dump . Dreadful. Worst hotel i have been it. Homeless hostel is best description . Horrible room torn curtains moldew shower . No daily clean .

Location was great near all the shops on baker street and lot of food options. The hotel mattress was stained had a hole in it and a cigarette burn. The bathroom needed a good deep clean. For the location and price we dealt with it for the 3 nights, we flipped the mattress to a cleaner side. You need to pay for tea and coffee making facilities (£5 I think) and for room cleaning it was £10, and no WiFi.

I was only staying one night and arrive late and left reasonably early so (I thought) I wasn’t that bothered. I just wanted somewhere cheap but literally what a hole. Disgusting floors, bedding, bathroom, damp smelling room. Below one star. Arguably was super cheap and super well located but I can’t figure out why you wouldn’t renovate this place in charge 2.5 X per room.

This building is in serious disrepair and needs to be completely gutted and rebuilt. The mould/mildew smell was so overwhelming I had to keep the window open and from a health perspective this isn’t good. Staff were lovely and must have a hard time dealing with complaints so I feel for them. My advice is do not stay here

Good: well-located (3 min walk to Marble Arch station), friendly staff Bad: filthy, mouldy room and bathroom, noxious smelling, no wifi, no amenities, uncomfortable bed

The location is perfect and with the price we paid we knew we our expectations had to be realistic. However the building is requiring a revamp and the smell of mould was troublesome in the bathroom. The staff were helpful in creating a solution. I was surprised to see no matress protecter on the bed and only a small duvet on a double bed but the room was hot so it wasnt required anyway. There is no lift so be aware of needing to walk flights of stairs if you have heavy luggage. The tread is very narrow as is normal in london so perhaps the plastic covering over the carpet on the staircase might be to provide grip and prevent injury. This place could be amazing due to its top location if a refurbishment was done, it is worrying to see damaged ceilings and walls and significant sloping floors.

Room was very dirty and old.

Don't stay here. Ever. The place is a dive, and the staff incompetent. Worse still they tried to charge me to leave my bags there while they made up the room!

Dirty bathroom. Flicking light. No plug in sink.

Aviod this hotel at all costs. May be low cost for London £115 but its not worth the money Mould in the shower Bare MDF on the floor where the wood finsh has come off. Rotten wood on door frames Leaking toilet, leaking on to the bathroom floor, hense the smell of urine No windows (in my basement room) No A/C No Fan Squicking metal bed frames Poor Mattress
