Berwick Manor Hotel

The room was very cold. I didn’t feel safe someone next to my room kept screaming every hour. I left after the first night. Property condition was pretty run down

No breakfast at 0700. Only stayed one night for work and the room was comfy enough

The room was cold with poor heating. The bathroom was cold and damp and the towels were cold and damp

Unkept, smelly

Arrived 10:30pm. Music blasting from the bar. People up and down the stairs opening corridor door next to room all night until 2:30am. Workers or guest in the room labelled staff room rummaging boxes. Then sleeping and snoring in this room which could be heard through the walls. This room labelled staff room and had a kitchen facility in there which is fine but no consideration for people sleeping gone 2am. Mentioned it to receptionist the next day who was very apologetic and helpful to try and deal with it. After this convo the next day people again in this staff room at 10:45pm when trying to sleep they are on FaceTime speaking so loudly could hear the whole conversation through the walls again. I had to get out of bed to knock on the door to ask them to turn the volume down on the phone and keep voices quiet. That same night after this I was kept awake with a female and 2 males having an aggressive argument which did not sound good nor did I want to listen to this when trying to sleep. Breakfast was a shambles and should never be called continental and was greeted with a spider on the chair. Bed was very uncomfortable, cobwebs across the wall and could not turn the temperature down on the shower as dial was broke. Overall shocking experience. Wish there was someone on the reception when I checked out to ask for a refund.

Good room, comfy bed, lots of parking and a friendly staff, but no restaurant and free breakfast was very limited, but definitely better than nothing. Would stay again if in the area but would grab food from a supermarket or somewhere else on the way, as there's not much nearby.

Bed linen was spotless and general cleanliness of room was good. Windows were dirty and in the en-suite the back of the toilet seat and the surrounds of the toilet were in need of a good clean. Just generally needs more care taken

Was greated by a friendly, helpful lady. Went to our room that was a good size and very spacious, it was clean but i must say it looks very tired and needs updating, such a shame because it was stunning when it was first done when i attended a couple of weddings. The evening porter was very pleasant and sorted our continentaL breakfast out that was quiet poor. We never ended up getting much sleep due to the bed being very creaky evey time you made a slight move. I dont want to be negative but as i said it does need updating. On the other hand our stay was ok and very close to the function we was attending.

The hotel is unfortunately seriously dated and needs a massive revamp to keep up with the times and the rooms aren’t like advertised

Only word is disappointing. After repeated requests to fix the TV no one was able to, so we had 5 nights with no TV. We also asked for an extra blanket and the answer was no. You had to turn on the shower for at least five minutes in order for the hot water to start coming through. Seems like a total waste of water. The pillows were so flat my head was barely lifted off the bed. If you are after a cheap salemans stop off vibe, this is the place for you.

This hotel was empty which probably reflected it's location.state and facilities. My partner did not feel safe but had only booked for one night decided to endure it. Having used Hotels.com many times I just felt this hotel was not to the standard we have come to expect.

Breakfast was nonexistent. The chef turned up 15 mins. too late.

The hotel looked nothing like the photos in the online booking. The hotel while clean and the staff friendly was run down and tired.

Rooms and paul was amazing

The gentleman at check-in and breakfast was really good and friendly. Other than that the experience was not a good one, the hotel is in need of an overhaul in the rooms. Had to move rooms due to the generator for the air-conditioning system downstairs emitting a thudding sound (similar to a helicopter taking off) in the bedroom. Both rooms I was in need of a thoroughly good clean, the carpets and curtains had all sorts of marks on them

I was completely blown away by the state of my room, The curtain was hanging off the rails, The carpet was dirty and also the shower. Advertised was a restaurant but this was closed so I had to get Uber eats in for dinner. The breakfast was continental and it was basically 3 cereals and the one I chose was stale. Totally disappointed with this hotel it could be so nice
