Overall a very positive experience. The location is very convenientlu located just a few minutes way from Queensway station on the Central Line and when you enter the lobby you get that feeling of this being a big hotel. Upsides: + Newly refurbished rooms. + Large TV with chrome cast. + Helpful and kind staff. + Aircon. + Refrigerator. + Size of the room okay compared to price. Downsides: - Queen size beds are a bit narrow for sleeping two adults. - The bed and pillow a bit soft. - The aircon is wallmounted and quite noisy as well as the guide vanes blow cool air onto you. - The breakfast is £15 per person and not worth the money. Your money is spent better outside the hotel at a cozy café or the like. The hotel is going through a major refurbishment but this should not count as negative, as this will soon be over and it didn´t bother us. But because of the work, only one elevator is available for a 7 storage hotel, which made the wait a long sometimes.

The room was located in a different area of the hotel, which was not as advertised. There was no lifts, so we had to carry the suitcases in the escalators. It was clean but had a weird smell, it was also next to the outside dumpster alley. The location of the hotel was good, near to more than onde station.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was smaller than the smallest dorm room. Fine for one person but good luck if two people need to get ready at the same time. There was so much dust in the air from construction that after using my laptop for a couple of hours it was caked in dust. There's one working elevator that was constantly used by employees so it'd take 5-10 minutes to use. I have no issues taking the stairs, but even the stairs were covered in dirt and dust and caused me to slip. The fire alarms went off three times while we were there as well. I only mention that because several people mentioned it was caused by hair dryers, but I'm not sure if that's true. Having said all that, the staff, especially housekeeping, were great. It's just that the hotel itself is awful.

The hotel was undergoing remodeling or renovation with the 1st and 2nd floors being worked on. Associated with that, one of the elevators was out of service . So having only one elevator was the biggest problem we faced. You could wait a long time for the elevator. We were in London during a record setting heat wave. Fortunately, the air conditioning in our room worked great. On the down side, the shower design was the type with a fixed glass partition (no shower door or curtain) that partly separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom. That type of shower design doesn't really keep all the water in the shower so no matter how careful you were, water would get on the bathroom floor. I don't like that kind of shower set up but otherwise the room was nice.

Some issues with my hotel room, when i book a certain room I dont think it's fair to decide on my behalf to change it to a different room that isn't an upgrade just because they want to be able to sell more rooms but I talked to the staff that was very nice about it and they fixed it the day after! So very helpful and nice staff, and the rooms were super nice and clean and as well.

Vi ankom til hotellet sent, hvor vi fik et værelse i kælderen uden vindue og uden en aircondition, der virker. Da vi kommer ind på værelset var der 32,5 grader derinde og vi kunne hverken tænde en aircon eller åbne et vindue. Vi går op i receptionen og forsøger at få hjælp til at få tændt airconen, og dette er de ikke særlige hjælpsomme med. Så vi ender faktisk med at tage på et andet hotel for den nat, da det var umenneskeligt at være på værelset og ikke mindst sove der. Sengen havde også et ret dybt hul i den ene side, som gjorde det lidt ubehageligt at sove der - særligt når sengen i forvejen var ret lille til to personer.

Let's start with the good- staff we're all fantastic, the air con was a needed bonus (although it made a weird noise) it worked well. The room was clean and tidy. The not so good- The downside of the hotel being under construction there was only one elevator for all of the hotel guests and the elevator is not very big so your left waiting for the elevator 9 out of 10 times due to too many people or your crammed in with 13 other people. The shower / wet bathroom your left with water everywhere. The rooms are small even for a junior executive. The mini fridge was malfunctioning due to the lack of air surrounding it- leave the door open.

Har bott på hotellet i ca 10 års tid en gång om året. Bor alltid i samma typ av rum vilket varit enkelt men helt ok (för att vara London). Jag bokade i god tid ett år innan. Jag fick en shock när de visade det rummet som de ville att vi skulle ha. Personen i incheckningen förklarade att det var rätt rum, det var bara det att de rummen vi bokat höll på att renoveras så de hade ändrat den kategori jag bokat i till källarplan/mezzanin. De rummen som vi fick var förskräckliga. Fuktskadade gick inte öppna fönster, luktade illa. Fick i och för sig byta rum men det var lika illa. Hotels.com gjorde vad de kunde men lyckades inte. kunde inte heller boka nytt hotell pga kort varsel. Det tråkigaste av allt var den oförståelse vi möttes av, den otrevlighet och nonchalans som fanns hos personalen. Vidare var det en stor besvikelse eftersom vi hade tänkt oss att fortsätta bo på det där hotellet även i framtiden men det är inte aktuellt. En annan märklig omständighet är att saker försvinner från rummen. Vi har blivit av med en chashemeretröja, en telefonladdare och en datorladdare, vid olika tillfällen. det tycks som att allt kvarglömt åker i soporna vid städning. Personalen kommer möjligen reagera på detta inlägg och komma med bortförklaringar, vilket var symptomatiskt för vår dialog. Tråkigt med tanke på alla de år som vi bott där och varit hyffsat nöjda. Det är ju faktiskt svårt att få tag på hyggliga budget hotell i London, Detta har tyvärr sjunkit under acceptabel nivå.

I was looking for a place to stay overnight while moving and it was a really great experience. However I was struggling to connect to the WiFi because I had emails to send. Additionally my room was two floors below the basement so I couldn’t get any cellular reception. That’s the only thing I’d say.

Excellent location; within walking distance (ca 5-10 min) to two subway stations (Queensway. Bayswater). Friendly staff at the front desk & luggage toom. Nice bar on the ground floor.
