Cornmill Hotel

Problems with noise which was dealt with by a move to another room.mattress on bed to small for the base TV would work.I decided not to eat eithe evening or Morning.

The property is well situated to travel links via main bus routes and major roads .Opposite the property is a main shopping area with a huge selection of shops supermarkets and eateries They also have a very good and popular italian restaurant on site all of this sounds idyllic thats why i chose this hotel but on arrival i was checked in by a lovely professional member of staff who gave me key and info about facilities on arriving in my room i was shocked and dismayed to find stained bathroom and bedroom curtains window handle missing a mish mash of furniture which was marked and really was of no use in the room only 2 hangers in wardrobe a bed which squeaked every time you moved the matress was stained and because no matress protector was used and the sheet did not cover the matress properly you could clearly see the state of the old sprung matress the quilt cover was very small and did not cover me when i tried to sleep the floor was sticky and patched the tall oversized pedestal next to the bed was dirty and dusty all of the faults i photographed and went and got the receptionist to verify my concerns she said they had no other spare rooms to move me to but told me to get help the next day from the hotel reception which i did the head of housekeeping told me this was a budget hotel and they could not be expected to change all of the old mattresses it would take time and i should of got out of bed and come down to reception and asked for a bigger duvet better customer serv

Good value and location for the price. It was mostly clean and very quiet and comfortable.

Bathroom floor very sticky, only negative . Warm welcome and friendly smile.

The room was clean, but old and tired, tv didn't work, 3 staff seen one good and friendly, one adequate, the night staff poor, disinterested and didn't pass on my complaint about having hot water only in the sink in my room. Having the KFC and Asda over the road was useful.

I had a lovely single room on the 4 floor it was amazingly clean, comfy mattress and fresh white bedding and towels I was told by reception that there was tea, coffee, and sugar in the room but if I needed any more they were at reception and to help myself, this little gesture was nice as I sometimes feel like a bother if I ask for more. Although I did not use the restaurant it looked warm and welcoming if I had been staying more than one night I would have gone in for a meal. I do recommend the Cornmill

The hotel was fine clean and comfortable. It was a little far out for us from the centre. The Italian restaurant in the same building was excellent.

No service in the room done in between days.

Nice location plenty space for pay park but room I was staying in could do better. Bed wasn’t comfortable to noisy soon as you sat down, cleaner could do better job. Will give them another chance in future.

The hotel was clean, but could do with refresh in places. Staff were friendly and professional. Although next to busy roads, soundproofing was very efficient and didn't notice the traffic. My wife found the bed a bit hard, I was fine, but it did make a lot of noise, even when just sitting on it. The Italian restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent. The location was ideal for our needs, a trip to The Deep and a bit of shopping. If visiting Hull again, I would have no problem booking into Cornmill again.

Very handy staff willing to help asked for three take away breakfast all ready for when I checked out excellent service
