Place has good potential BUT Management must improve! The building has cracks at the front not sure if they were examined. One room was very smelly like old mould and cold with no heating, which I don’t expect in May and the second room didn’t have basics such as kettle and do not disturb sign, room was filthy and I asked it to be cleaned, which they did to be fair. Pillows are not comfortable. Pool is 1.2m deep just enough for children to swim, pool water was dirty. Jacuzzi was meant to be cleaned on Wednesday as sign suggested but on Tuesday it was already out of order. Food was lovely but on the last night the staff refused to allow me into empty restaurant (quite literally empty) as I didn’t make prior booking and they didn’t have enough cutlery … such a ridiculous statement to make! After complaining to Matt the manager they fed me in the end and free of charge, which was nice. The management must review their operational processes and improve upkeep

We stayed in room 36 and wow wow wow was we blown away it was 5 star suit soo comfy we were looked after so well Food was excellent breakfast was amazing especially the sousage im.fussy about sousage they were gorgeous .the bath was separate room and very big and the walk in shower was big aswell our weekend was absolutely amazing we were spoilt and the swimming pool area was great took we'll be back. Thank you john and Megan for your kindness xxx

Great hotel

Lovely building, needs some TLC. Hot tub out of order

Older parts dated but this is to be expected. Generally clean however. Breakfast was a bit of a let down

Excellent greeting upon arrival. A lovely welcome and our room was lovely. A large room with excellent bathroom and a nice view This is a beautiful hotel. The food was excellent, great service at the bar too. In the lounge var area, ample cosy seating, beautiful views all around the hotel grounds. Nice music in the back ground. We would certainly book again.

Lovely trip with good dining options

Room was great but a little tied in places. Breakfast was average bit of a strange layout. But overall good value for money.

Shocking stay, staff inconsiderate and unhelpful. Rooms are very tired, and felt tatty.

Good place to stay for a business trip.

It was a nice stay, just the bed let it down, we really ended up in the middle of the bed as the matress dipped in the middle. I did book a twin, but didnt say anything, it didnt really matter it was a double, execpt it wasnt the best mattress

First time visiting and it was amazing. Definitely we are visiting again!! Stuff was amazing and helpful and food was great!!!

Crabwell Manor is a beautiful building and upon entering I was very impressed by it's grandeur. However the suite I stayed in was a different matter. The lounge area was scruffy, the carpet was grubby and had, what appeared to be, an iron mark on it. The sofa was stained and fraying and the voile curtains at the windows were torn. There was also a chip on one of the cups provided. There was a thick layer of dust along the top of the tiles in the bathroom. Although a hairdryer was provided, there was not a socket near a mirror to plug it into. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good.

Great place to stay unfortunately the service in the bar was extremely short staffed. You had to go looking for a staff member to be served, food was 1st class room was clean an very spacious

Overall the kerbside appearance was good. Check in lady was great but unfortunately didn't quite deliver what she said she would do. Room was lovely but the lay out of the dressing area was a kettle and a picture. It was the best place to do your male up everywhere else was dark.

Beds were stained. Mattress cover was stained. No coffee or tea maker. No bottled water in the room. Towels smelt of cooking fat. Sink did not hold water. Shower flooded the bathroom.

Room 3 has several issues: 1. There’s a massive gap under the door which is so big you can see the carpet in the hallway through it. The gap also means all the light and noise from the hall can be seen/heard from inside the room. The door is a push/ pull but on the inside there’s not a pull bar handle installed which means the lever handle is coming lose and the fixings are exposed. 2. The floorboards squeak so loudly! In part of the room the floorboards are sinking so you feel like you could go through the carpet at any moment. 3. The window has privacy filmed installed to hide the ugly view, the window also has a tatty roller blind installed which is pointless as is does not block out any daylight. 4. The desk is lent against the wall to keep it upright so as soon as you lean on it, it tips – dangerous as this is where the kettle is. 5. One of the bedside lights wasn’t working. The en-suite also has problems. 1. The grouting is missing between the floor tiles. 2. The sealant is thick and messy. 3. The lock on the door doesn’t work. 4. The shower is just a rainfall head, no handheld attachment. 5. Theres a sign which states at peak times it can take up to 15 minutes for hot water to come through, I showered at 06:00am and the water was boiling hot or scolding, so the temperature control needs fixing. 6. There should be a light over the mirror. Overall cleanliness was a problem too.

I stayed in room 52 this week and there was a horrible smell on arrival. I had to keep the window open to try and get some fresh air in which didn’t help. This made the room cold and, when the window was closed, the heating/ radiator wouldn’t work. Last week the bed was worn out. While staying away with work I would like a comfortable room. I have unfortunately been disappointed the last two weeks.
