It was not what was on the website when we arrived there was no one to meet us to say which cottage we were staying in I tried calling but no one replied I phone a number that was on a van parked in the carpark who then got in touch the with the gentleman who runs the cottage’s we should of entered at 3:00pm but didn’t get in till 5:00pm I was told I had been sent a message with the code at 09:00 which I never received

The room was very small and the bed was a small double which again is small. That been said shower was very good and the location was good I clearly got it wrong as I thought we were getting what now looks like the cottages and not a room. That was my fault and not the owners

Very disappointing experience. Communication was poor from the start I had to wait over 30 minutes outside before receiving the key, and the host only responded after repeated messages. When I finally got access, I was given a different cottage from the one I had booked, with no proper explanation. Instead of apologising, the host was rude and dismissive, even saying “you only paid £89 which is completely unacceptable. On top of that, the cottage had a noticeable mould smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. Overall, this was a frustrating and unpleasant experience due to poor service, lack of professionalism, and the condition of the property. I would not recommend staying here.

We thought from Expedia's website that we were getting self catering, with living room/kitchen as well as the bedroom and bathroom, but we got bedroom and bathroom only. Not the owner's fault, but Expedia. Accommodation was okay, but we have stayed in better for similar/lower price. General area was nice.

Great place for a little getaway , loved the little treat box with pringles , jaffa cakes and a chocolate biscuit with coffee and tea !

Beautiful cottage - clean and very well kitted out and decorated. Amenities were a good standard. Towels and bedding bathrooms all lovely. Would definately stay again ! The welcome basket was really appreciated and a really nice touch. Thankyou !

The only 1 thing i would of liked would have been a fridge but apart from that it was excellent.

Everything was good. It was a nice place with a dog exercise field as well. We had a nice little welcome basket so that we could have a drink when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped. Thankyou

The cottage was beautiful. Clean, cozy, and ideal for our needs. We will return the next time we are down. If i had one observation and it wasnt an issue to us, was we have a travel fridge in the car, a mini fridge in the room would have been ideal for milk.. Otherwise, a lovely place and it felt like a home from home

We had a lovely stay. We stayed in the room only property and it was ideal for us. Just two of us stayed in the property and for us it worked. The same facilities you’d expect in a hotel however it was much quieter and prettier with lovely views. The tea, coffee and biscuits were just what we needed after a long drive. Contact from the owners was really helpful and they answered any questions I had prior to the trip. I would stay at dale cottages again. For a shorter trip this property is ideal and if I was staying longer I would most definitely consider one of the self catering cottages.

This was a lovely place to stay. Beautiful surroundings, lovely quiet courtyard. Easy to find. Thing is there was cutlery available but nothing to cook on or in. There was no fridge. A mini fridge would have done for our short stay. There is a kettle and some T, coffee, sugar and milk. Our apartment had its own bathroom and was a nice, clean and functioning space. The Internet was so in and out with the signal, we ended up unplugging the router and using our phone as a hotspot. Tv could only be viewed using Internet as theres no aerial in the room. The position of the place is brilliant for a day out in Whitby or Robin Hoods Bay. Being in the middle of both. We would stop again but We would consider staying again, this time we would take some pot noodles tho.

Lovely cottage every thing you would need nice position just off main road hare and hounds pub ten minutes walk lovely food and real ale

We stayed one night only Adequate for us.
