DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel - Nottingham Gateway

Nice hotel. Nice rooms. Easy to get to. Easy to get to the centre of Nottingham too with the tram next to the hotel.

Easy to get to and a great location for what we wanted. Staff were really friendly and helped out any way they could.

Convenience, environment and Parking

I experienced some minor glitches which was resolved and I would like to stay here again on my next visit. The room, especially bathroom was very clean, air conditioning was in good working order and the bed was very comfortable. I am unsure though why they have stopped supplying the little 2-pack biscuits to go with your tea or coffee and glad I didn’t have the kids with me cos they love it🤔. The reception staff were polite, professional, friendly and helpful.👍 Complimentary cookie and ice cream was nice, thank you. 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫

Had a lovely nights stay with my daughter whilst visiting Nottingham. Breakfast was nice and the staff were all friendly & helpful. We would stay again.

Good hotel, no issues

We were given a single sofa bed instead of the double sofa bed as seen and booked on the expedia site.

I booked a room at the Nottingham Double Tree for son’s graduation ceremony on 29 July. This was done at least two months in advance as I was expecting demand to be high that day, it being graduation day. On the eve of my travel I got a call from the Reservations Manager to say that due to high demand they’d had to move me to the Nottingham Belfry. There hadn’t been high demand when I booked the room. Anyway, after ignoring my question about a refund I had little choice other than to check in to the Belfry. The desk clerk asked me if I wanted an upgrade which I agreed to on the condition it was the same cost, he said it was. However, I was subsequently charged an additional £40 for an upgrade. The other £10 that was pre-authorised on my card has also disappeared. I tried to get this cleared up but to no avail. In summary, my original room was resold to profit from the extra demand that night and I was palmed off to the Belfry who then ripped me off. The whole experience was grubby. Would not recommend either hotel if you’re looking for good service.

Lovely hotel. Very nice welcome cookies and complementary icecream and water. If they provided slippers then it would be a five star!

Very good stay

There was some issues with the room, spcifically, the lights stopped working, we came back to our room after someone had come to fix the light in the bathroom and found the toilet seat had been removed and not replaced meaning we had to use the hotel restaurent toilet. We then had an issue at breakfast where I had been offered an omlette due to my lactose intolerance, however, after taking a few bites of the omlette found that there was cheese

Very good one night stay, positives were room/bed comfortable and quiet. We had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was good.

Really poor experience with the staff at this hotel. The TV within the room allows no access to plug in a HDMI cable to connect your laptop, you can only watch the free channels on the tv and the tv isn’t a smart tv. If you want to watch films you have to pay additional and for brand such as Hilton this is very poor and disappointing, when we asked the staff what could be done the were rude and not every helpful saying the hotel is as it claims. The hotel manager advised that we could checkout but that’s all he could do to help. The lady on the front desk was rude upon check in and overall very dissapointed with the way we have been treated. For a double tree Hilton I won’t be visiting here again due to how unhelpful the staff were. We could smell cannabis in the corridor and had to report it twice until it was dealt with. Very disappointed.

fabulous hotel, lovely room, quiet air-conditioning, excellent breakfast and lovely, friendly staff. Really appreciated the free parking as well, which was our main reason for choosing this hotel.

Very limited disabled parking

Lovely check-in staff, delicious warm cookie on arrival and an ice cream in a heatwave was most welcome. The room was spotless and such a comfortable bed. I wouldn't hesitate to use this hotel again and recommend to others.
