The place was basic but comfortable. The rooms had heating and hot water. The location was very good. Within a 400m radius, one could get onto the railway, city centre, main shopping centre and loads of eating places. Thank you Sadek, Sam and Carmelia, you made our stay there so enjoyable.

It was a lovely stay - basic room, but just what you need for a place to stay. Super close to the station, and so many restaurant and cafe just on the doorstep. Lovely staff.

I was a bit apprehensive after reading the review, but honestly this was fine for my needs. My room was modernised and very clean, decent size shower and comfortable bed. The communal areas need some updating but it looks like this is in progress.

Belighenheden af hotellet er tæt på både tog station og byen. Der er mange resturanter i nærheden. Desværre ligger hotellet direkte over en populær bar og i weekenden er der meget støj fra fest der slutter kl 24.
Brusebadet var gået i stykker og kunne ikke varme regulere (enten brand varmt eller iskoldt). Værelset var meget fint og rent med god plads.

The location and price of the hotel are excellent. The young man who greated us was very nice and our rooms were clean and modern. It’s not the Four Seasons but I think it was fine for the price considering everything else in Oxford Town Center is double the price or more. The rooms are above a nightclub which had loud music until 1:30 AM. The entrance to the hotel is very hard to find with only a paper sign on the door. There was a larger commercial cooler case in the small foyer which led to steps with old carpet and missing hand rails. Again, not perfect but great location and price.

Room fairly represented photos on line. Bed comfortable. Decor good. Bathroom adequate but cold and without heat. Heating in bedroom an electric radiator set at 35'c but struggled to cope, very hot to touch.
Let down by very seedy common parts \ entrance and smell. Adjacent club bar under very noisy \ boisterous.
Choosing ones own room code and inputting to the operators mobile was disconcerting. Loft access meant room insecure.
Clearly the operator is trying hard to achieve decent standards over time. Currently not a star worthy premises.

A grimy old little hotel - some of it is to do with the building and property, but lots is just to do with not-caring: they could clean it better and spruce it up easily - but they don’t bother.
The rooms are also accessed with a code (not a key) which seems like it is never changed. The reception says it is open all day but it took 15 minutes of phoning and buzzing to get into the property.

Comfy bed, well situated for the bus station and bus stops. walking into town 10 minutes only. On street parking seemed to be permit only! go to Redbridge park and ride and leave your car there. the bus stops outside!. take earplugs because the music plays till 1.00am ish

Duschen var helt hopplös att använda, antingen kokhett eller iskallt vatten. Ingenstans att hänga handdukar, enda hyllan i badrummet var extremt låg, en dryg decimeter ovanför golvet. Ingen toapappershållare heller. Rummet var stort och rent, men det var varmt och fönstren gick inte att öppna. Det fanns en fläkt men det var ändå för varmt. För en natt var det okej men inte längre vistelse.

The place was dirty, there was paint peeling off the walls damp patches, wholes in the walls, rips in the carpet, plastic covering a window, no hot water from the tap so had to shave with cold water. No plug in the sink, screw showing through shower door, shower floor uneven. No reception on the television. Plug sockets and electrical wiring looked passed it’s bed. Very Noisy

You cannot be at the location. It is close to everything. Situated literally next to the bus station, it has a wide range of amenities nearby. It is just a few minutes walk to all of the major attractions in Oxford. The staff is very kind and friendly, even if they don’t know a lot about running hotels and making beds. They are extremely responsive to any needs. Try to not think of this as much as a hotel as a really comfortable and quiet hostel. Try and get a room on the top floor if possible, as the nine nights, we spent there, almost every night above us was a reenactment of Riverdance, including sometimes people Cooking and bringing in a lot of very stinky food. That is against the rules, however. Although it is right above a bar, it is not very loud, except on Friday, and the music turns off at 1 AM. This was not a problem for us, as we were exhausted from travel. Some of the rooms have en suite bathrooms, and those are nice. Some have shared bathrooms. Be sure that you know what do you want. While this is an expensive hotel, it is much cheaper than the other hotels in the area. Be sure that you can walk up four or so flights of stairs to get to any of the rooms. If so, it is a place to stay.

Fan blew out dust, mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, stains on all carpets throughout the building. It smelled of sewage as soon as you walked into the building and in the reception area. The window ledge was chipped and unclean. All walls were marked and chipped too. Claims on street parking and there is none. Definitely not worth the price.

Stained walls, crappy carpet, bathroom could be seen from the street sincen the window cover was fallen, noise from the street was not shielded at all

Absolutely grubby hotel , do not go . Bathrooms on both our rooms had significant amounts of mould on the walls and ceiling . No lampshades on the ceiling lights - only exposed bulbs hanging from the ceiling , again in both rooms. Paint peeling off the wall in the bathroom. Toilet seats didn’t fit the toilets . The hot water tap only ran cold water . The shower kept changing from hot to cold. In our room the wardrobe has no back or top on it . Both rooms had an arm chair with dubious stains on them. We had to move the kettle and put it on the floor to plug it in to an extension cable . We had enough coffe for 2 cups of coffee even though we had booked 2 nights for 3 people in one of the rooms . There was an inch gap under the room door . One of the rooms , the main bedroom door , which is a fire door , the specific returner device had obviously been broken just leaving the arm and the device had not been replaced - this is a fire risk. The walls in the rooms and all the way down the stairs has dirt marks all over them . The hall and stairs carpets were filthy with large stains and ground on dirt . The door numbers on some of the rooms were written on the doors with a sharpie !
We saw one guy once when we checked in on the reception desk . He gave us the codes to the door and then we never saw anyone again to try and address the issues .
The noise and music from the bar below can be heard very clearly in the rooms until about 1am.

There were no elevators so had to carry up large suitcases, and also no bathrooms in your room. Had to go down a floor to get to them and it was disgusting in the morning. Completely unclean.
