Staff good. Room very cold. Duvet to old

the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, the receptionist was banging on my door at 11pm and being very abusive and intimidating for a mistake he made. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I have never, ever, ever experienced anything like this. The owner or manager, Dan, is an awful person. There is not enough space to explain the situations in detail, but he yelled at me several times shortly before check out. First while I was in the shower; a guest had forgotten their key in the bathroom, and for some reason, Dan decided that aggression towards me was the best way to get the key. 5 minutes before check out, he bangs on my door to apologise, and I calmly tell him that it was a very uncomfortable situation, and that I had done nothing wrong. He proceeds to tell me that he had gone and yelled at the other guest for forgetting their key, as if that was a solution. A bit back and forth, and I shut the door because he is starting to yell at me again. He starts yelling that I am not being respectful and I open the door, baffled that he demands respect from a paying customer that he is yelling at. I tell him that he does not respect me and close the door again, which he then OPENS without my consent. Dan made me feel unsafe, uncomfortable and his behaviour was threatening. Maybe he was on drugs. Hotels.com have decided that it is up to Dan if I get a refund, and thus far, no consequences has been imposed on Dan and his business. Hotels.com has offered a coupon and a 50% refund. I am not satisfied with this, as I want a 100% refund seeing I do not want to support Dan's business. I hope people reads this and decide against booking with Dan.

Only read reviews after I stayed. Personally my stay was ok. The receptionist /manager was polite and helpful to me. Very chatty, even upgraded my room when I arrived. The room was basic and wasn't all glamorous, but wasn't filthy. Bed was comfortable enough. Means to make facilities in room but I didn't use. Shared showers and bathrooms wasn't ideal but didn't really bother me. I was in no time rush so could afford to wait until one came free which wasn't long. There was a communal fridge and microwave but I didn't use them. Although reception wasn't 24 hours, the out of hours entrance & exit was around the back and I had no issues with codes. If you just want a bed and hot showers for a night or two then this is cheap and cheerful. I'd you're on a business trip then this hotel is t for you. I can understand some of the previous reviews as the local area is run down but I have stayed in a lot worse.

Bad experience

Room is not clean when I check-in

Obviously it’s a cheap hotel, but the host was nice at first but then was horrible, rude and knocked on my door 3 times in 2 nights. Area looks really unsafe, very far from the centre with only one bus goes there. To avoid if you have any other option

This place should not be listed under hotels. It’s a hostel.

The reception Guy at the front desk was so unprofessional and rude,Also I had to change my room last minute to get another one ,and the room I got which was #13 stinks and had urine smell on the bed,which I wasn’t comfortable throughout that night.Measures needs to be taken.

Don’t come here unless you want to catch an infection! When we arrived at the entrance, we saw a man smoking outside who, to our surprise, turned out to be the receptionist. He let us in, and as soon as we walked through the door, the entire building was filled with a strong smell of weed. When he showed us the facilities, we were shocked by the deplorable state of everything: the bathroom was filthy, the bed was in terrible condition… everything was disgusting. The conditions were absolutely unsanitary, so we immediately contacted Hotels.com to help us get out of there. They informed the receptionist about the situation, and in response, he came to our door, violently banging on it and shouting, demanding that we open it. At that moment, we were terrified, especially because we had read reviews warning that he was a difficult person to deal with and often seemed to be under the influence of drugs. He forced us to go to the bathroom to show him what we were complaining about, always shouting and speaking in a completely threatening tone. Although we had a two-night reservation, we unfortunately had to stay one night because we were only refunded for the second night. However, we fled as soon as we could the next morning. We slept in disgusting, unsanitary, and unhygienic conditions. We didn’t even dare to use the bathroom, as it was in an even worse state than the room.

No one was in the reception even though it was during working hours, therefore used an hour to get into the building as I had to call some number, be left on hold, call back, get no help, call again etc until I got a code to the back door. Was also disappointed that the entrance to the building is through a back door in the back right next to a smoking area. The room itself was ok. Not even a thrash-can in the room or any chair, but if you as me just needed a place to sleep and not stay during the day, it was not to bad. When I got to the room my pillow was laying in direct contact with the heater on the wall, så my pillow was super warm on one side. The one thing I was surprised over was the cleanised, not that it was amazing, just that it wasnt bad, especially to what I expected of such a place.

Nice clean and quiet place. In a good area to. Friendly staff. Safe place. Plus plenty of shops from a post office to a supermarket. And off licenses. Easy access to the city centre to.

If there's no other place to stay, buy a sleeping mat, find a place at the city centre and sleep there. You will be saver and peaceful than going to this hell of a place. The front entrance is not safe. You have to hide to go in through some dangerous iron stair behind the so call hell-hole. If you accidentally slip on the stair, you would be dead. Listen, i am a very important person in this nation by professional cadal. I am not going to lie neither my identity for security. I dont wish even my enemies to ever be exposed to such horror. Don't go there. That's all i have to say.

I’ve sent you all my booking details and how much I’ve been charged on that day. I wasn’t letting the building. I’m an elderly person. I slept in my car that night and I had to attend a funeral in the morning. Supposed to be 24 and ended up paying £69 with Expedia why are you ripping off people? I am going to publish this. I need immediate action.
