Shower was not working. No fridge available, no comb for hair dressing, no laundry facilities, no fan for warm weather. Not recommended

The granby hotel was very clean the staff were very helpful and they managed to upgrade my room to a double…. There are lots of things to do in the local area. I would recommend the granby hotel for a nice hotel to stay at

Booked a 1 night stay for myself and Husband. Booked a double bed 1 room ensuite. Got in there and it was a single bed, the carpet was full of large Circular dark stains. And black patches. And the bathroom/toilet, was down three flights of stairs, to accomodate 8 rooms. Went and Complained at reception, who rang the owner, she was told we only booked a single, yeah, right, come on he's 6 foot 2. Showed reception the booking conformation. The boss said there were no other rooms. Two other seperate guests were complaining about facilities. It was this bank holiday weekend and couldn't get another booking anywhere. We had just spent 5 hours on motorbike, So had no choice and asked if we could have mattress or at least a duvet for the dirty floor. They rang the boss to ask, to which he said "are they not cancelling, as I have someone else wanting to book the room" total disgusting behaviour. Though did give us a duvet. We have photo evidence to supply to Expedia. Can't believe we were conned this way. And how they can be alowed to rent out rooms, also we had no hotwater in the room. The whole place is a mess. Won't let me upload photos, will supply if asked.

This place is a death trap broken sockets un PAT tested equipment hot water has no thermostatic control valve on scalding hot water comes out tap down 2 flights of stairs for a shower where the shower cubical is screwed shut so have to shower over bath the door window is just covered with net so not private general condition of the whole please is appalling rear off property full of rubbish carpets are poorly fitted and humps all over flower tripping hazard manager rude and aggressive asked for remote for tv eventually sent one not for tv in room so didn’t work hotel from hell

Had to leave within 20 minutes of being in the room and get a refund. Unclean bedsheets, taps weren’t working, leak in the ceiling and holes in the walls

Stained and holes in carpets.musty and dusty.smashed tiles.smashed plug sockets.curtains hung up with string.unhygenic receptionist.armpits smelt horrible.peeling wallpaper and paint.

Shower either off or scalding hot, low button didn't work, temperature knob obviosly not connected to regulator turned as may times as you liked in either direction Unable to turn heating off and room was stifling hot Had to go and get toilet rolls Room not refurbed (coat of paint, cleaning areas that don't get done daily) Bedside lights not working No fire extinguisher at point labelled for one

Never been to a dirty place like it in my life door's not secure Never will I go anywhere worse

Room door's insecure Very dirty stunk of smoking never stayed there as should never be on the list Ended up going to another hotel

The room was clean but needs updating , the window would not shut and the wind was whistling through the window , reception there was a bell on the wall pressed that quiet a few times no body came , saw other guests and asked them there was a ring doorbell type round the corner spoke to a chap he told what for key safe but because quite def couldn’t understand him finally got to my room after about 1 hr , the only good thing I can say the location good

No proper customer support, you won’t see any body at the reception to talk to is very poor

Had bad experience this time around waited 20 minutes just to check coz there’s only one staff member running accommodations do he’s never been in the building when ever I needed help there was no only one electrical socket far away from the bed no internet toilet is 2 floors down absolutely ridiculous and also noise from other guests to mention but a few

Very poor, unclean and a rude member of staff checked us in..... Full of immigrants.... Weve stayed many times but it must of changed hands because it used to be okay

No staff available on site, room is cold (heater doesn't work) had to travel down 2 floors to use the toilet, no microwave to heat up food, wet and smelly rug.

Lack of staff, had to ring for someone to bring the key, the photo your site displays is completely different to the room we stayed in . Tea and coffee were ok but no milk or spoon 😔 no bath mat, no mattress protector.

Check in was talking to a door bell in reception.. room was clean no complaints… walls are thin and it’s possible to hear people talking in the next room … location is good Overall it has its plus side and it’s minus side

Great value for money. Obviously the building is a bit dated but it's what you'd expect for the price. I've stayed in more expensive hostels that were not as clean etc. This room was clean. People said on other reviews said about the walls being thin which is true if there's loud people in so basically like any hotel. The first night we didn't hear a thing and there were people on both sides of us and didn't hear a thing but second night there was just someone on 1 side and they were just common, gobby scumbags so obviously you would hear them but you're always going to get that especially when prices are so affordable. Hopefully people like that don't ruin the affordability as that's when places put prices up to stop attracting scum but for us it has been a life saver as we had been struggling money wise recently and didn't think we'd be able to go away anywhere for a while but this place made it doable with their prices and it certainly was a decent place to put your head down. Location was excellent.
