Lovely large clean room, friendly staff and very helpful, used just park for parking which was just across the road

The Queen room was a good size with a sofa, too.

Hotel good but my colleagues were not let in for a discussion as it was after 21.30? Also a long wait at reception whilst other customers were discussing appropriate identification whilst trying to check in.

The property is well maintained and well position for a visit to all of Yorks attractions. It would have been great to have onsite parking but a car park was available close by at a reasonable charge. The staff were helpful and informative. I would definitely stay again and recommend the property to friends and family

The accessible room was spacious and quiet, and breakfast was high quality each day.

Our room was an access room and it was fine, clean comfortable bed and wet room shower. All was good until breakfast. Which was not particularly busy. However multiple tables were uncleared and still with discarded plates cups etc we cleared a table. At the breakfast buffet all the clean plates were swimming with water. I was told the dish washer had broken and they were having to wash everything by hand, fair enough. But why put clean plates out that are swimming with water? I don’t like scrambled eggs, so asked if I could have two poached eggs, I was told no they only offered scrambled! The sausages were all very well cooked and that’s being polite! So all in all for a hotel costing over £200 for the night and breakfast charged on top of that a disappointing breakfast experience!

The room was very modern and clean and excellent size with all the amenities tea/coffee, hairdryer, safe etc

Room was lovely & clean, had a twin room & both beds were small doubles. Breakfast was lovely, fresh & plentiful. Staff were quick to clear the dishes & clean the tables for guests. Would use this hotel again.

Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Bettdecke etwas klein für zwei Personen. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut in der Stadt, leider ist das Parken eine Katastrophe. Keine Parkplätze in der Nähe, man muss auf ein Parkhaus ca. 500 m in der Nähe ausweichen, wenn das voll ist, dann good luck. Frühstück ist nicht überragend, aber für englische Verhältnisse okay.

Great place to stay

Pretty basic. I had to ask specially for a stand on which to put my heavy case as there was absolutely nowhere to put it except on the floor or the bed, which was very low. It took them some time to find one. There was only one chair and no table or desk. The shower was unsatisfactory as there was a wet-room floor arrangement with no proper edge to it. They claimed to offer evening meals but in fact there was no restaurant or waiters but just a limited range of food which could be purchased from the bar.
