The harbour hotel is a good location for Guildford next door to Glive and a short walk into town. We have been coming here since it was a raddison hotel and very little has changed in terms of decor or facilities. Everything looks very tired from furniture to building fabric. It used have an upmarket feel about it but that was at least 10 years ago. We have stayed in the suites and various other rooms and they are all invariably the same, dark lacking in style and worn. The lobby bar used to be quite vibrant and busy but now there’s no atmosphere and it’s a struggle to get a drink even though there seems to be lots of members of staff wafting around but not actually serving customers. We came back from an evening out and tried getting a drink and ice for our room but were told to go to the long bar which is alongside the hotel. We complained and to be fair Bethany the bar manager explained the policy of the hotel very well and was very helpful even though we disagreed about the policy of having bottles brought to your room instead of having drinks in the lobby bar after 11 pm. Harbour needs to get this hotel up to the level of its other hotels.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The room was beautifully decorated with all the special touches that made it feel extra luxurious and inviting. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff were amazing—extremely helpful, welcoming, and always ready to go the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Their warmth and hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommend!

convenient location

The Guildford Harbour Hotel is a lovely hotel that I would recommend to anyone. The position of the hotel is fantastic being walking distance from the shops, restaurants, pubs etc. The hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and on hand to help with anything. The 11am breakfast cut off and check out also made it nice not to have to rush in the morning. There is also parking provided at the hotel at no extra charge.

Our room was small but perfectly tidy with a great bathroom and a safe, kettle, hair dryer and toiletries. The mattress was very hard and the pillows were thin. We also happened to be right next to the large heavy door by the lifts, which was noisy. The room was hot, even with the aircon turned down to 17, the lowest it would go, so we ended up opening the window. Because of this we were woken up at 7.30 with guests using the outdoor spa, making a lot of noise. This carried on for a couple of hours. Breakfast was a buffet and was very good. The hotel is perfectly situated at the top of town and the bar is great. I would stay again but would make some specific requests next time.

While travelling for a sad reason (funeral), Maddie on the front desk was kind and helpful, She took care of some details for us and the entire staff at the hotel were helpful. A great location and clean, quiet room. Breakfast buffet food was good quality.

Ive stayed at The Harbour on afew occasions now, and its been a pleasure every single time. Great value, super staff and the catering is excellent too!
