Although we had a child on floor above us jumping around the room constantly until 11.15pm, we had a good stay, especially with the breakfast service from Troy and Simmy, they really looked after us.

Very convenient location, just steps from the cruise ship. Great customer service, and the room was clean and spacious. However, the continental breakfast was very basic and poor—with no choices at all.

Yes the room was in good condition but they couldn’t provide night robe and sleepers to wear which I asked at the reception, they do not have.

It’s a fantastic hotel

Hotel was great the reason i have marked down is because of inconsistent breakfast prices. . I could have paid breakfast in advance at £15 but was unsure whether to try some external restaurants. As the weather was poor I went to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant and was surprised when the cost was £25 per person. I refused this as it was excessive. I challenged this at reception and was told it was market pressures depending on demand that could be £15, £20 or £25. However, it felt like opportunistic profiteering. We decided to walk across the road for breakfast rather than pay £50. On the first night we had room service which incurred a £5 tray charge. This was acceptable but the food was lukewarm bordering on cold. Therefore, the tray charge was unnecessary if the food was not delivered promptly.

Hotel is not fit for its location. Lofts are a long wait up and down. Check in is too slow. There's only one EV charger although it advertises chargers (plural). Very disappointed.

Rooms and hotel nice after refurbishment. Pity they didnt upgrade the lifts as well. Only one working on arrival and only big enough for 2 or 3 people with cases. Breakfast was average food dry in the buffet section.

We loved our one night stay at the Voco Hotel Southampton. The room was large, spotless and had everything you could possibly want. The food was excellent as we ate in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast the following morning. The staff were lovely and I would certainly recommend this hotel and would happily stay again - thank you Voco!
