It’s a lovely cottage, spacious and homely, on a farm with view of fields, hills and sheep. It’s in a good location for visiting all the local historic areas. Hadrian’s wall, the Roman museums etc we even drove to Edinburgh on one of the days.
I stayed here after a particularly wet day walking the Pennine Way. Lesley, the owner, was so friendly and helpful.
The room was spacious, clean, warm and good facilities. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice.
It’s somewhere I’d definitely like to go back to.
The farm was easy to find and there was good parking. There was a warm welcome and the room was clean and bright with a good range of facilities. The guest information folder was extremely helpful and the wifi was good. The sleeping accommodation was to a good standard and, being in the country, there was no noise. The home-cooked beakfast was excellent and there was a full range of English and continental items to choose from. An excellence experience and I would recommend the property for a one or two night stay.
