The check in is in the pub which is fine. Friendly greeting. Parking very close so that's great. Room big. Basic. Shower good. Room has the distant smell of cigarettes. Probably lingering in the sofa bed. My company laptop and mobile wouldn't accept the Marston's WiFi so I had to toggle from my personal phone. Nearby M&S was perfect as I didn't want to dine in the pub.

Staff were all extremely nice and helpful. Nice breakfast. Electric charger not working. Not the end of the world as there are chargers round the corner by Tkmaxx

So much hair on my bed , checked in and there was piss in the toilet and on the seat , they moved me to another room so staff was great but then this next room had loads of random hair all over the bed

The staff here are very polite and professional. The rooms look a bit tired and the bath plug has not even got a chain??? It's the second time on a visit that we have mentioned this issue. The meter on top of the heater keeps showing that the windows were open but of course they were not. The TV in the room was very difficult to turn off and when searching for a programme the tv jumped 2 channels at a time. That is basic stuff that should be regularly checked. Because there were so many of these silly issues we didn't complain because the staff were all working at pace across the tables and the bar. Why is there only 1 bedside table??????? Our only complaint at breakfast was that for some odd reason you have stopped using teapots and in it's place you provide tiny cups, that in our opinion is poorly thought out. You should either bring back teapots or at least offer mugs. I'd question why you don't provide saucers with your cups, it's good etiquette.

The room was dated , there was a broken sofa in the room , faulty bed side lights , dust galore and there was hair in the bath.

The Rooms were clean and comfortable apart from no bedside table. Staff were extemely helpful and the cokked breakfast buffet was excellent. Best ever at a reasonable price.

Average. Needed a quick local stay at last minute, this fitted the bill. Tired decor, toilet dirty, car park with heavy muddy areas. Room was ok & it served a purpose.
