London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale

Excellent breakfast, good small pool nearby. Ice pops at reception were appreciated on the hot days. Only ok location. Nearby train and underground but restaurants in the vicinity not great.

The hotel was nice but set apart from any attractions. It did have a tube station nearby but if using cabs or uber, it was quite expensive. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable but overpriced. The restaurant was decent (we had dinner) but again not reasonably priced. Staff was helpful.

We arrived at the London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale in Kilburn before midnight on Friday, July 3, after a long day of sightseeing. I had booked the room through hotels dot com about an hour earlier due to another unforeseen error on another accommodations app, and had received confirmations by email and in the app. A junior front desk employee couldn’t locate my reservation and asked his manager for assistance. The staff questioned whether my booking was valid and repeatedly suggested I cancel my reservation, request a refund, and book directly with the hotel instead. During this time, my girlfriend began to think my reservation had failed, my ability to make simple plans was suddenly in question, and that the birthday trip I had planned for her was falling apart. And the staff was suddenly and yet clearly antagonistic towards my efforts to try and salvage the situation. After about 25 minutes of unnecessary explanation, how I should go about making reservations and how their systems work and don’t work, all while I was also chatting with hotels dot com support ready to cancel my reservation, the hotel staff finally managed to locate my reservation in the Expedia system, the parent company of hotels dot com, and without explaining what had changed. The room itself was fine, but the check in experience was unnecessarily stressful. I would have appreciated an apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience rather than simply being told to “call us directly next time.”

Lovely room with a fridge . Has air con which was great as it was very hot in London . Bed was very comfortable.

We loved staying at the hotel, but the best thing was room service was still available at 12:00 am when we arrived from Harry Styles’ concert.

Poor customer service and unhelpful staff

Stay was ok. Couple of things to be aware of - early check in (I arrived at 1230) costs £40 and buffet breakfast for any kids over 12 is £20 each so £60 for a family of 3 is quite a lot. I think the Marriott could do a lot more to make their hotels more family friendly and welcoming.

Terrific buffet breakfast!

Large, comfortable rooms and quiet, beautiful area. There should be caffeinated coffee in the hotel room, or at least in the lobby. There were two little packets of instant decaf coffee, no microwave, and an electric kettle that didn't seem to be working.

Would recommend.

A/c not cold enough at this time of the year - cold outside yet too warm inside - doesn’t make sense!

Upon my second stay there, my bed springs were very bad. People were pretty friendly. They charge for just regular black coffee which is very expensive for not being a special coffee. Bad for Uber pickup. They only accommodate taxi cabs

No coffee sachets in the room and no bottled water left out. Staff excellent and hotel very well maintained and very well placed for Maida Vale and 2 tube stations
