Only stayed for one night, room was exactly what we needed, great for the price on a bank holiday weekend.
10 minute walk from tube. Easily walkable from Shoreditch or Hackney. Staff friendly and more than accommodating when making a change to our booking. Bar/restaurant area excellent

Restaurant was great! Staff very helpful. Both of our rooms had bathrooms without separate shower. The shower was just a curtain that blocked the sink from getting wet but otherwise the whole bathroom was the shower. I would not stay in that room again. I also wish there was tissues, shampoo and conditioner in the room.

Very quirky hotel with a bougie vibe. The hotel is very clean and cheerful. The staff are lovely and the area itself is vibrant. Breakfast was very good with something for every taste. Highly recommended hotel.

I had a two night stay in Mama shelter Shoreditch and had the best time. My double room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed including lovely big towels, a powerful hairdryer and a king size bed that was comfortable and soft.
The room was playfully decorated and appealing to be in, just like the rest of the hotel. The restaurant and bar were clean, comfortable and relaxing and the food menu had something for everyone, from small plates and salad through to burger and chips. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to meet your needs.
Happily recommend Mama shelter, easy to get to from Bethnal Green Tube station and in an interesting part of east London.

Had a great time at mama shelter room was as described, clean and in a great location and easy to get to other parts of London.
Only bother was the room felt really warm and stuffy in the morning despite leaving the window open

Loved the vibe and friendly staff. Room was nice, loved the addition of a fridge and table. Also loved having a midday checkout and the location was ace - easy walk up to broadway market and lots of other nice places
Downsides were rubbish pillows, poor pressure in the shower and noisy air conditioning, but overall would recommend.

I really enjoyed staying at Mama Shelter. I was traveling solo and it was fun to be in the lobby and restaurant with all the other people. The hotel room was quiet even though I was on the street side. I loved the location. There's a bus stop across the street. Wonderful market on the weekend within easy walking distance (Broadway Market) and a beautiful park nearby with animals and a restaurant, Hackney Park.

It wasntyso good unfortunately. The air conditioning system was pumping out warm air and it was very loud outside. The bed wasn't (perhaps the mattress protector) wasn't comfortable and had sharp/bumpy bits in the centre of the bed. The duvet and pillows were too warm for the room conditions. Very disappointing given the cost of the room for one night.

Great spot in East London! Highly recommend for folks who want to be just slightly removed from the crowds and tourists in central London. I found the transportation options nearby very convenient - there are buses that come all day long right outside of the hotel. It's a 3 minute walk to the overground train that will take you to Liverpool Street station in 10 minutes, and short walk to Bethnal Green to get on the central line. Lots of cute shops and cafes in the area (highly recommend grabbing coffee and a sandwich at 3rd Culture in Hackney). Walking distance to Columbia Rd Flower Market, Brick Lane, and Shoreditch. Hotel was clean, had fun decor, and the rooms were quiet at night.
