Food was delicious, room was great and staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Very clean. Great food and a decent bar. 7kW EV chargers. Very easy walk to the Green Dragon pub and Hardraw Force after dinner. Low carb options a bit lacking if you’re diabetic or doing a keto diet but that’s normal and I guess demand is low.

The room was fantastic and the staff were brilliant, great fun and very attentive. We had a brilliant stay and could not recommend the place more highly! Thank you.

A five star property and staff — some of the best food we’ve ever had traveling, and here it is in the Yorkshire Dales! Friendly, helpful staff to a person, every shift, every position. The historic manor house buildings are beautiful, tastefully updated to allow a glass-walled dining wing that looks out over the rolling green hills. It’s a stunning setting. The bedroom is the only shortcoming. Peer facilities might offer visitors pillows of various stiffness to accommodate different sleepers’ preferences. Stone House provides two different pillow textures — granite and oak. I exaggerate only a little. They have the hardest, least comfortable pillows of any facility we’ve ever visited. Sleep was rocky, in a word. The mattress is sub-par, and the double bed too small for the price (the room could allow a Queen or King). The bathroom light is a terrible cold white color. Someone should visit similar places and compare their bedroom facilities to what’s offered at Stone House, and bring those bedrooms up to the superb quality of the dining, staff, and environment.

Stone hotel is a lovely property set in the soothing Yorkshire Dales Countryside. The hotel was comfortable, food delicious and staff were friendly and provided first class service. My husband and I had a memorable break there. We will return.

I visited with my disabled husband for his birthday treat. The minute we went through the doors we were treated like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing! Thank you all for making our stay so special! The food was incredible too!

Lovely hotel situated 1 mile to the north of Hawes. We had a downstairs room with a conservatory (worth paying the extra). Staff very easy to talk too and very friendly. Food excellent.

A really beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with extremely friendly staff members. The room was comfortable and spacious although the bathroom is perhaps a little dated now and the shower quite a squeeze (even for a size 12 woman) but having a bath was much appreciated. Our evening meal was good, though not exceptional but nothing to complain about. We were disappointed that the answer to our question as to whether we could have porridge without salt was a very firm 'no' but it was a nice change to have breakfast served to the table instead of the 'free for all' that is the more common breakfast buffet bar nowadays. All in all highly recommended.

Nice place to stay staff were what I call over friendly it felt just a bit sir this sir that when I told them they could call me Andrew they still carried on the the sir’s Went for a morning drive and my key wouldn’t let me back in found the kitchen entrance and had to go through there luckily Chef was already in The food was brilliant compliments to the Chefs Could have done with a deck lamp for righting my journal and a full length mirror and body moisturiser as I forgot mind But as a whole a very beautiful place to stay and I will be recommending to others and would definitely stay there again

This property is an absolute delight!!! Superb in every way. Staff are friendly, helpful, courteous. They go out of their way to accommodate. Property is immaculate!!!! Squeaky clean, warm, delightful old English charmed building in excellent condition throughout! Food is excellent, well presented and super tasty!!! A short walk opposite the property takes you to the most charming of Yorkshire market towns Howes. We will be back!!!! Great job to the whole team at Stonehouse Hotel

Beautiful peaceful spot above Hawes. Very welcoming staff and fabulous views all around. Very relaxing break. Good spot for walkers.
